McDonald’s consistently has some of the best sweet treats in the game, and now the fast-food titan has officially levelled up its offerings by bringing back a beloved McFlurry flavour.

Earlier this week (28 April), the McDonald’s ‘A May Zing’ menu, featuring three new breakfast items and the return of The Big Tasty, officially dropped in participating British and Irish restaurants.

Mozzarella Dippers made a triumphant comeback alongside: a moreish Chocolate Honeycomb Frappé, two new Sprite Zero mixology offerings, and a duo of McFlurry flavours.

The first was the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, which sees soft serve vanilla ice cream swirled with Galaxy chocolate sauce, topped with Galaxy chocolate pieces.

However, it’s the second re-launched McFlurry that has social media talking, with TikTok users such as Emily Jade hailing the flavour as ‘actually insane’.

“I’m so happy!,” proclaimed a second consumer, while a third added: “Really looking forward to trying this!”

And while it isn't the fan-favourite Kit Kat McFlurry, it is basically the next best thing.

From this week (28 April), McDonald’s customers can get their hands on a Biscoff McFlurry, featuring gooey Lotus Biscoff sauce and a crunchy crumb topping.

Initially launched as part of the behemoth’s Limited Edition menu back in 2023, the Biscoff McFlurry returned in 2024 and again last May due to repeat sucess.

According to Lotus Biscoff, it’s actually one of the company’s ‘most requested collaborations’.

If previous years are anything to go by, then the dessert is probably going to be here for a good time, not a long time.

So if you want to get your Biscoff McFlurry fix, we recommend getting involved sooner, rather than later.

Excitingly, McDonald’s has also added two permanent menu items this week: the Spicy and the Cheese & Bacon McCrispy.

The former replaces black pepper mayo with a wicked spicy sauce which can also be purchased separately.

The Cheese & Bacon version elevates the chicken burger with a slice of American-style cheese and a strip of crispy bacon.

Meanwhile, kids can still get their hands on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Happy Meals, featuring 12 collectable figures modelled after their favourite Nintendo characters.

The line-up includes Birdo, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Bowser Jr. from 2023’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Luigi in a Frog Suit, Luma, Mario, Mario with Fire Flower, Princess Peach, Rosalina, Toad, and Yoshi.

Each Happy Meal toy comes with a clip, meaning you can take the items on-the-go.

“Clip Mario to your backpack, pin Princess Peach to your purse, or let Yoshi dangle from your keyring – now's the perfect time to grab this season's must-have accessory,” a McDonald’s press release read.

The promotion is set to run until 4 May.
