McDonald’s is finally expanding its McCrispy range, adding two new permanent flavours to its menu to create an iconic line-up.
Flashback to October 2022, when McDonald’s announced it was retiring the beloved Chicken Legend after 15 years to make room for the succulent McCrispy.
Featuring a 100 percent chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating served in a delicious sourdough-style sesame seed bun, the burger is topped with refreshing iceberg lettuce and black pepper mayonnaise.
As of Tuesday (28 April), fans can now sink their teeth into two, game-changing new variations of the McCrispy.

Introducing the Spicy McCrispy, which replaces black pepper mayo with a wicked spicy sauce that the chain promises will provide the ‘perfect chilli kick’.
The spicy mayo sauce is also available to purchase on its own for 60p, with the restaurant vowing it pairs well with Chicken Selects and Fries, as well as the chicken burger.

Can’t handle the heat? The new Cheese & Bacon McCrispy may be more your cup of tea.
This upgraded original features all the elements of the classic McCrispy with an added slice of cheese and a strip of succulent bacon.
The McCripsy and the Spicy McCrispy cost £5.99 individually or can be upgraded to a medium meal for £7.49.
It’ll cost a little bit more for the Cheese & Bacon McCrispy, with McDonald’s listing it for £7.09 on its own or £8.59 as part of the medium meal upgrade.

McDonald’s adds three spicy breakfast items for May
The trio lands at the same time as McDonald’s new breakfast menu, featuring three items doused in Franks RedHot Ketchup.
The first is a breakfast wrap, featuring a crispy hash brown, a herby sausage patty, a fried egg, a square of cheese, and a stick of bacon wrapped in a soft tortilla. A squirt of tingly tomato sauce is used to finish.

The breakfast wrap is priced at £5.39. It is joined by a single and a double McMuffin, which cost £3.89 and £5.79, respectively.
McDonald’s May menu shake up
Post 11am is where the fun really begins at McDonald’s this May.
The Big Tasty (£6.29) and the Double Big Tasty (£7.99) have returned, as have Mozzarella Dippers, available to purchase from £2.79.
If you have a hankering for something sweet, then the new Biscoff or Galaxy Chocolate McFlurries (£2.59) should suffice.
McDonald’s has also reintroduced Frozen Cherry Lemonade (£3.09) alongside debuting new Sprite Zero remixes.

First up is the Raspberry x Sprite Zero, a refreshing mix of fizzy beverage and sugar-free raspberry-flavoured syrup.
The Pineapple varient is the same, but with the raspberry-flavoured syrup swapped for a tropical-inspired pineapple.
Each drink is served over ice and is priced at £2.29.
McDonald’s has also replaced the limited-time Mini Egg Frappé with a Chocolate Honeycomb version (£3.69).
McDonald’s removes grilled chicken
Ahead of the May menu, the fast-food favourite confirmed to Metro that grilled chicken would be taken off its menu, with no replacement items being introduced.
The reduction meant that five products, including the Grilled Tikka Chicken Wrap, the Grilled Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap, the Grilled BBQ Chicken and Bacon Wrap, the Grilled Chicken Salad, and the Grilled Chicken and Bacon Salad, would cease to exist.

"As part of our continued menu evolution, we regularly listen to customer feedback and review sales data, and as a result, we've made the decision to remove Grilled Chicken from the menu. This change will help simplify our kitchen processes and allow our restaurant teams to focus on delivering great experiences for customers,” a spokesperson said.
"We understand this may be disappointing for some, but every menu decision is carefully considered, and we look forward to sharing more about our upcoming menu launches in the coming weeks.”
