The iconic McDonald's burger that's been dubbed 'better than a Big Mac' is returning to the fast food chain - and it's set to be better than ever before.
With Christmas just around the corner, McDonald's is lining up its festive menu, and that means the return of one fan-favourite in particular.
This time, the legendary burger has had a bit of a glow up, with a range of different customisations and changes to make it *tastier* than ever.

Yep, we are of course talking about the Big Tasty.
In case you've never sampled a Big Tasty, it features a beef patty, two slices of cheese, lettuce, onions and tomato, all sandwiched in a toasted sesame bun with that mouthwatering Big Tasty sauce.
The burger - dubbed by many fans as McDonald's 'best ever' - will return for the festive season, and for the first time, it can be ordered as a single or a double.

You can also add bacon, and what was originally emmental cheese has now been upgraded to white cheddar.
Meanwhile, it also features a new toasted quarter pounder bun and those having two patties will also get a third slice of cheese.
Both the Big Tasty and the Double Big Tasty are set to arrive later this month, priced from £7.99 for a Big Tasty meal and £9.49 for a Double Big Tasty.

Confirming the burger's return, Thomas O’Neill, the head of menu at McDonald’s UK&I, told Metro: "The Big Tasty has always been about bold, craveable flavour – and this year we’ve taken it up a notch.
"It’s still about that unique, smoky sauce fans know and love, but now with more ways to enjoy it. And no matter how you have it, each Big Tasty is crafted with even more flavour in mind – from the 100% British and Irish quarter pounder beef patty, to the ruch, creamy white cheddar cheese, every bite is packed with serious flavour satisfaction."

While McDonald's hasn't yet announced its full Christmas menu, it's expected to be revealed before the end of the month.

There's also a big festive change coming for Happy Meals, too, with McDonald's announcing this week that it's introducing the Mayo Chicken into the meals, as well as featuring Elf on the Shelf.
Arriving on 19 November, each Happy Meal will feature one of 12 plush toys from the Elf on the Shelf tradition.
Meanwhile, carrot sticks will also be getting a makeover and transformed into magical 'Reindeer Treats' instead.
