McDonald’s breakfast menu is the main event for many fans. With delicious coffees and an extensive range of energy-rich food options, it’s essential for millions who kick off their days with a visit to the Golden Arches.
The Sausage and Egg McMuffin, the much-loved Breakfast Wrap and the Cheesy Bacon Flatbread are just a few favourites on the pre-11am menu, and that’s before we get into it about hash browns being limited to the breakfast menu.
With the McDonald’s Monopoly game back underway from 10 September, the autumn is a great time to consider kicking off your day with a quick Maccies, and the incoming menu options might be enough to seal the deal.

Following a successful trial in its Yorkshire stores, McDonald’s is adding a Sausage Sandwich to its breakfast menu nationwide.
The £1.99 sandwich will roll out from 10 September alongside those Monopoly stickers, with a pork patty, cheese and either ketchup or brown sauce waiting to line your stomach.
“We know our customers love a bit of fun as much as they love great value,” said Ben Fox, Chief Marketing Officer at McDonald’s.
"The new Sausage Sandwich may look like a burger, but it proves that looks can be deceiving.
"It’s savoury, saucy and a proper breakfast treat, made with our delicious RSPCA-assured pork patty."

The Sausage Sandwich forms part of the breakfast saver menu which consists of the £1.99 Cheesy Bacon Flatbread, the £1.69 Porridge Pot, the £1.59 Hash Brown, Apple Slice for 79p, and an orange or apple Tropicana at £1.89.
A new bundle is also available for £2.99, featuring a Sausage Sandwich and a drink of your choice.
As with the other breakfast menu options, the Sausage Sandwich is only available until 11am each day. From there, the regular menu swings back into action.

Along with this breakfast menu refresh, McDonald’s is taking the opportunity to celebrate the return of its annual Monopoly game with a few more menu changes.
The Philly Cheese Stack, dubbed McDonald’s best-ever burger by some fans, is back in town alongside Mozzarella Dippers and an all-new Loaded Caramel McFlurry.
From 10 September, a few items will be bowing out, too. The Sprite Zero with syrup option is getting the chop, as is the Jaffa Cake McFlurry.
The Spicy Chicken McNuggets, Big Tasty, Chilli Cheese Bites, Milky Way McFlurry and Steakhouse Steak are also leaving the menu.
Curiously, the next-big-thing in the Big Arch is also leaving the menu. Considering McDonald’s has previously said it’s hoping the Big Arch will become a new menu staple, we can only assume it’s ‘see you later’ for the Big Arch rather than a full-on ‘goodbye’.
