The wait is finally over; McDonald’s Monopoly is back.

If you aren’t familiar with this little treat, it’s a game that first appeared at McDonald’s in the US back in 1987. Now it’s become an annual event, with stickers to be peeled off drinks, fries, wraps and McFlurries that offer free gifts and even big prizes.

Like in Monopoly, you need to collect a colour set to snag the biggest prizes. It’s an ingenious way to get customers back for more chances to win, and it’s all the excuse some of us need to treat ourselves a little more regularly than usual.

From 10 September 2025, the promotion is back on.

Thanks to our sibling site LADBible, we’ve got all the details you need to know about McDonald’s Monopoly 2025, and that includes a Jet2 Holiday prize. Nothing beats one of those!

With a peeled-off sticker, you could bag either an Instant Win prize – such as a free burger, fries and the like – or a Property Code which you can scan and store on the McDonald’s app. According to McDonald's, there's a 1 in 4 chance of winning instantly on-pack.

Via the app, you can play the McDonald’s Monopoly Special Edition World game, featuring much-loved Maccies character Grimace as he runs around a 3D rendering of the classic game board.

On the board you can land on one of 30 results:

  • Property Square x26: users will be awarded a Property Card.
  • Chance Card x2: users can win cash, merch, prizes, and our iconic Gold Card.
  • Community Chest x1: users will win MyMcDonald’s Rewards Points.
  • Passing Go x1: users will be awarded a £200 cash prize.

If you complete a Property set, you’ll win a ‘Collect to Win’ prize corresponding to the set’s. Generally speaking, these are the big wins.
