Greggs has bolstered its breakfast menu with a brand-new product fans have hailed as ‘mouthwatering’ and ‘obscene’ - here’s everything you need to know.
Fast-food institutions such as McDonald’s and Burger King have taken breakfast to a whole new level this year with the introduction of the McGriddle in the UK and the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper in the United States, respectively.
Now, Greggs is stepping up to the plate by adding a new item, which is now available across most British stores from 6.30am to 11am.
The ‘insane’ new item costs £3.95 on its own or can be purchased as part of the bakery chain’s £4.70 breakfast deal, consisting of the main entreé and a hot or cold drink.

“Oh s**t, Greggs giving MaccyDs a run for it's money!” one Instagram fan said.
Another commented: “That sounds f**king lovely.”
“Looks mouthwatering,” a third added, while a fourth claimed: “Okay this I have to try.”
Without further ado, let us put you onto the new Greggs Hot Breakfast Wrap.
The product wraps an oven-cooked sausage, cheesy omelette, crunchy hash brown, mature Cheddar cheese and sweet-cured bacon in a soft tortilla wrap.
Lashings of Heinz Ketchup and béchamel sauce are used to finish the Hot Breakfast Wrap.
While some fans are ecstatic, others have complained that Greggs has yet to launch a vegetarian or vegan alternative.

“Is there no veggie/vegan option? I went to my local Greggs and all I could get was hashbrowns for lunch because there was nothing else I could have,” one social media user reported.
Someone else said: “@quorn_uk you did the vegan sausage roll now it’s time for a VEGGIE version of this!”
FOODbible has contacted Greggs for comment.
The new Hot Breakfast Wrap has joined an already-stacked, early-bird menu at Greggs.
There are six different Breakfast Rolls at the time of writing, including the sausage and omelette and bacon varieties.
These buns sit alongside the sextet of baguettes; the cult-classic bacon and cheese wrap; flaky pasties; ready-to-eat porridge pots; and an overnight oats punnet topped with seeds and dried fruit.
If you’re not exactly an early riser, then fear not, there’s also an all-day breakfast baguette that is sold after 11am.
“One of humanity’s biggest mistakes was deciding that breakfast ends at 11am. Wake up, world. It’s about time we make the tastiest meal of the day available all day,” the Greggs official website reads.
The Hot Breakfast Wrap launch comes just weeks after iced matcha was added to the grab-and-go favourites’ menu.

The caffeinated Gen Z beverage is available for just £3 and comes in three flavours - regular, vanilla, and fruity strawberry.
“We’re on a mission to offer our customers more choice and quality than ever before, without the premium price tag”, Greggs claimed.
”By introducing our trio of iced matcha drinks, we’re making a trending favourite accessible to everyone on the high street. Importantly, the range doesn’t just look the part, but delivers on taste and quality too – we think our customers are going to love it so matcha.”
