Greggs launches new summer menu

The summer kickoff at Greggs is officially in full swing, with the bakery debuting a host of fresh new menu items and re-introducing fans to tried-and-tested darlings, such as the beloved Red Pepper, Feta and Spinach Bake.

From Thursday (7 May), keen customers can head down to their local Greggs to sample the delights of the new summer-inspired cuisine.

The new items and returning icons join the recently announced chicken sausage roll and the Hot Breakfast Wrap, which fans have hailed as ‘mouthwatering’.

All products are available to shop across the nation now via Click+Collect on the Greggs App.

Prawn Layered Pasta Salad

Introducing your new lunch-time go-to, the Prawn Layered Pasta Salad.

Cooked pasta is tossed in creamy Marie Rose sauce and vinaigrette dressing before being mixed with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.

The concoction is layered with cos lettuce, grated carrot, prawns and paprika for a smoky bite.

The salad pot is priced at £3.60 and can be purchased as part of the salad and drink deal from £4.25.

Tomato and Mozzarella Pasta

Another pasta dish is joining the Greggs line-up, and it's chock-full of fresh ingredients.

The pasta, cooked in a mayonnaise, yoghurt and herb dressing, comes with tomatoes, onions, baby spinach and roasted red peppers and a moreish red pesto, tomato and herb dressing.

Mozzarella pearls and marinated semi-dried tomatoes are used to top the dish which retalis from £4.25.

Mango Lemonade

If you need something more refreshing than a Greggs matcha, then perhaps the Mango Lemonade will tickle your fancy.

Sweet lemonade is spiked with mango and served over ice for £2.75.

If fruit-flavoured drinks are your thing, then the Raspberry or Pineapple Sprite remixes from McDonald’s may also tickle your fancy.

Mango Passion Fruit Doughnut

Those with a sweet tooth will be pleased to hear that an additional delight has been added to the bakery counter - a ring doughnut filled with mango and passion fruit.

Sugar pearls and mango and passion fruit flavour icing has been used to top.

Red Pepper, Feta and Spinach Bake

The summer menu launch is bringing back fan-favourite classics for a limited time.

Exclusively expanding Greggs’ savory pastry offerings for the summer season is the returning Red Pepper, Feta and Spinach Bake.

The boujee pasty, initially introduced last May, features the trio of ingredients wrapped in the chain’s flaky pastry.

A cheese and tomato-flavour crumb has been used to top the £2.20 counter item.

BBQ Chicken and Bacon Pasta

If prawn or tomato and mozzarella aren’t your bag, then perhaps a meat-laden pasta salad will do the trick.

May heralds the return of the BBQ Chicken and Bascon Pasta, which features the carb cooked in a yoghurt and herb dressing with mayonnaise, sweetcorn and tomatoes.

It’s topped with smoked bacon and chicken breast in a BBQ sauce and costs £3.60.

Pesto Chicken Flatbread

Priced at £3.60, the Pesto Chicken Flatbread folds pesto-style chicken mayonnaise and salad with slow-roasted red tomato wedges in a garlic and oregano marinade.

Chicken, Grains and Greens with Egg

If a post-meeting Greggs is on the cards then what better to re-fuel with than the Chicken, Grains and Greens with Egg salad?

Sliced roasted chicken breast, lettuce and spinach are mixed with red and white quinoa, white cabbage, green beans and edamame beans.

You’ll also find a free-range hard-boiled egg in the pot alongside pumpkin, sunflower and flaxseeds.

A punnet of basil and parsley dressing accompanies the £4.25 dish.

Mini Sausage Rolls

If you find yourself in Scotland or the South East this summer, then you can try dinky Greggs Sausage Rolls for £2.50.

Available in packs of six, the meaty moresels consist of seasoned sausage meat wrapped in crisp, flaky glazed puff pastry.

Chicken Caesar Salad with Egg

Anchovy-lovers unite, because Greggs has put the Chicken Caesar Salad back on the menu for £4.25.

Sliced roasted chicken breast is layered on top of lettuce with a sprinke of Gran Formaggio cheese.

A free-range hard-boiled egg features black pepper croutons and Caesar-style dressing with anchovies.
