Wimbledon is on the horizon, and Greggs is celebrating the summer of sport with a new Championship-inspired delight. The instant classic has debuted on the new summer menu, featuring an affordable ‘dupe’ of a popular caffeinated drink that Gen Z just cannot get enough of.
While the FIFA Men’s World Cup is the pinnacle of sporting prowess for many - and a major talking point due to drink prices and bizarre pitchside seating arrangements - others are gearing up for the first round of Wimbledon to commence on Monday (29 June).
To celebrate the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and defending champions Iga Świątek and Jannik Sinner returning to Centre Court, Greggs has given its menu a mid-summer update.
The news comes amid stores across the country reopening following forced closures due to the ongoing UK heatwave.

11 Greggs outlets, including its flasgship in Leicester Square, London, were shuttered on Wednesday and Thursday (24 and 25 June) due to scorching temperatures.
It’s understood that the chain will reopen as normal at 9am today (26 June).
Anyone heading into their local eatery can pick up the new Wimbledon-inspired Strawberries & Cream Muffin, which debuted earlier this week.
The morish treat sits alongside tried-and-tested baked favourites, including doughnuts, Belgian buns, cookies, and packs of gooey caramel shortbread.

Promising to inject the taste of SW19’s iconic punnets of strawberries and cream into your lunchtime ritual, the Strawberries & Cream Muffin is layered with rich berry pieces and features a mouthwatering hidden centre.
Each item is priced at just £1.60 and is finished with a thick cream cheese frosting and a handful of freeze-dried strawberry pieces
The Strawberries & Cream Muffin is joined by a brand-new iced matcha latte flavour: blueberry.
Generation Z drinkers who frequently visit chains such as Blank Street Coffee and Black Sheep will already be extremely familiar with a blueberry iced matcha.
The Greggs version is made with matcha green tea, semi-skimmed milk and luxurious blueberry flavour syrup. It costs £3.60 and contains 134 calories.

Meanwhile, Blank Street, an iced blueberry matcha, will set you back by £3.90 and contains around 140 calories.
Black Sheep’s version, made with Oatly, comes in at 283 calories and costs £4.69, according to its website.
So, it’s not a stretch to say that the new Greggs drink is an absolute steal and less calorific than competitors,
If you’re dying to get your hands on a new Greggs Iced Blueberry Matcha, then we have some good news: you might be able to try it for free.
Those who have yet to sign up for the Greggs App are afforded a free drink voucher upon enrolling - and it can be redeemed against the new Iced Blueberry Matcha.
If it’s not really your thing, then you can sample one of the other iced matchas, or go rogue and pick up a biscuit latte, a peppermint tea, or a hot chocolate instead.
For every nine purchases made across different categories, app users can get their tenth item completely free. So it might be worth downloading if you’re a Greggs regular!
