A branded McDonald’s energy drink is about to become less of a dream and more of a reality as the fast-food titan links up with Red Bull to create the Dragonberry Energizer.
McDonald’s has invested a significant amount of time bolstering its drink portfolio this year, both in the United States and in Britain.
Across the latter, customers have been sampling vanilla matcha and candy floss-flavoured frappés, juicy Sprite concoctions featuring raspberry, pineapple, and green apple flavourings, and scrumptious McCafe coffees.
In the United States, the casual dining favourite recently launched its collection of Dirty Sodas; six speciality drinks that fit into the refresher or crafted soda category.

Thirst-quenching flavours include Dr Pepper topped with a creamy cold foam and a strawberry and watermelon-spiked lemonade.

This week, McDonald’s announced another beverage was dropping: and it’s in collaboration with Red Bull.
Described by Tasting Table as ‘caffeinated candy in a cup’, the McDonald’s Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer is an iced drink spiked with sweet blue raspberry flavour.
Whether you pick the regular or zero-sugar option, each purple and blue cup will come topped with freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces.
According to The Takeout, it tastes like bubblegum with ‘sour candy tartness’ alongisde the classic Red Bull flavour.
Unfortunately, McDonald’s has yet to confirm when the zingy Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer will be available for purchase.

However, US fans can expect to sip on it sooner rather than later.
The Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer is currently available for purchase in Australia alongside a Red Bull Peach Boost Energizer.
The latter, described as a ‘perfect pick-me-up’, promises to ‘add a sweet, familiar flavour of peaches’ to the iconic can of caffeinated juice.
