McDonald’s has finally caved in to fan demand and is bringing back an underrated breakfast hero that’s been absent from British and Irish menus for the last two years.
It’s fair to say the beloved brand has already delivered some mighty fast-food highs this year: the McDonald’s McGriddle finally debuted; Frank's RedHot Ketchup took staples like the McMuffin to the next level; and there’s currently a plethora of delicious coffee alternatives to sup on, including the recently released iced vanilla matcha frappé.
Excitingly, the next instalment is arriving in just a matter of days—and fans are set to become obsessed once more with a bite-sized delight.
FOODbible has exclusively revealed that on 25 August, a mini but moreish fan-favourite is back in action for the first time since 2024.

Excitingly, the company has promised the return of the Mini Hash Browns: dinky versions of the tried-and-tested breakfast essential.
For a limited time, Maccies fans will be able to pick up Mini Hash Browns in 15-piece Shareboxes to enjoy with friends or family.
“They may be small in size, but they made a big impression on Maccies fans. Now, they’re back by popular demand, giving fans a limited window to get their crispy, fluffy fix before they’re gone again,” a press release read.
Anyone wanting to sink their teeth into the breakfast item will be able to pick up boxes of the good stuff up until 11am every day of the week.

McDonald’s Hash Browns are beloved by thousands across the globe, with fans and celebrities alike taking to social media to praise how crispy and tasty they are.
“The best hash browns are at @McDonalds and it’s not even close,” recently commented Canadian actor Gerry Dee.
American journalist Mina Kimes wrote via X: “People will argue over fries when the real #1 is McDonalds hash browns.”
“Hash browns from McDonalds hit different,” someone else commented.
Crocs Happy Meal at McDonald’s
The return of the McDonald’s Mini Hash Browns follows the launch of the Crocs Happy Meal, an exclusive collaboration, released on 4 August, which sees 12 collectable Crocs-themed clip keyrings hidden in their own tiny shoebox.

The mini clogs, which come in four different colourways, come alongside activity sheets and an online interactive styling game.
Not keen on the accessory? Families can ask their servers to swap out the Croc toy for a Gigantic book by children’s author Rob Biddulph instead.
The story tells the tale of a determined blue whale who wants to journey across the Atlantic.
The Crocs x Happy Meal boxes cost just £2.99 and can include a main entreé of a Cheeseburger, Hamburger, McFish, Mayo Chicken, or 4 Chicken McNuggets.
