If you’ve vowed to save money in 2026 but don’t want to skip out on eating your favourite food, then McDonald’s is on hand to provide the goods.
After bidding farewell to the favoured Heist and Grinch Christmas menus, the fast-food icon is back in business with its extremely affordable ‘Secret Menu’.
Tapping into the idea of total customisation, the Secret Menu boasts a Surf N’ Turf burger, a jaw-dropping Chicken Cheeseburger, and a mini McFlurry which is served with signature Apple Pie.
All items on the list come in at under £5 when purchased on their own, or from £6.89 when selected as part of a medium meal.

The Secret Menu also features a 20p food item that people claim would buy by the bottle if they could.

But those items aren’t the only new things that McDonald’s has to offer.
This January, the company is welcoming back Chilli Cheese Bites, the Fajita Chicken wrap, and the delicious Galaxy Smooth Caramel McFlurry.

The Big Arch Burger has also made its welcome return, as has the Chicken Big Mac.
Available for £5.59, the Chicken Big Mac is made up of two crispy chicken patties, a slice of cheese, pickles, lettuce, and creamy Big Mac sauce.
The latter, which is famed for its tanginess, is beloved by fans across the globe, and is available to buy on its own for a limited time.
Right now, pots of Big Mac sauce are on sale for just 20p. Now that’s a bargain!

The savoury dip is perfect for dunking your Chicken McNuggets and Fries in, or for slathering on your homemade burgers and hotdogs.

It’s fair to say that fans are obsessed, with many of them rushing to social media to gush about the return of Big Mac sauce pots.
"Going to fill my cupboard with these! It's the best sauce!” typed one Facebook user.

Someone else on Reddit remarked: “If they sold bottles I'd buy some.”
“I mean this time around for £0.20 a pot isn't too bad. Shame it's a smaller amount. The last time I had to order like 5 pots of the 50ml sauces was in 2020 for £10.39,” a third typed.
Others have been arguing that the Big Mac sauce shouldn’t be included on the Secret Menu.
An ex-employee commented: “Worked there around 1996 and it was pretty normal to put a few squirts of any of the burger sauces in one of the old polystyrene burger box things if anyone asked.”

“I worked in McDonald's over 12 yrs ago and we would sometimes have a couple of customers ask for a side of big mac sauce. We would use the lid of a sundae cup and put some in for them,” said another generous user.
If McDonald’s are willing to sell pots of Big Mac sauce for an exclusive amount of time, what else could we see next?
Big Tasty sauce, which is the company’s signature creamy and smoky sauce, could be a good option.
Or what about Big Arch sauce? It is tangy, tomato-based, and contains just a hint of spice.
“They need to do pots of Big Tasty sauce. Year round. Or at least when the tasty is on the menu,” argued one Redditor.
They reasoned that ‘Big Tasty sauce is great with chips too.’
Could we see more sauce pots being added to McDonald’s menus in the future? Watch this space.
