If you usually spend the whole year looking forward to McDonald’s Monopoly, then the fast-food business has a new game that is sure to pacify your desire to win.
In the last couple of months, McDonald’s fans have already sampled an influx of new menu items, dug into ‘adult Happy Meals’, and are looking forward to the return of the cult sweet treat, the Shamrock Shake, next month.
The restaurant chain is gearing up another launch in March, and it’s sure to appease both game players and collectors alike.
Introducing McDonald’s UK Cards: a promotion engineered to celebrate almost nine decades of the company’s game-changing menu items, legendary brand characters, and product ‘hacks’, such as dipping your fries into your creamy milkshake.

There will be 24 cards in the set to collect and trade with friends, as well as prizes to win.

Seven of the cards have already been announced - and one of them sees the return of an iconic McDonald’s character who was phased out in late 2016.
Yes, that’s right: former mascot Ronald McDonald is back in business.
The clown was originally removed from McDonald’s marketing, presumably due to a rise in ‘killer clown incidents’ reported in Britain, the United States, and Canada.
"We're afraid that Ronald McDonald no longer appears in McDonald's UK advertising, but he is still very busy working for us,” the company said at the time.
"He often travels up and down the country to help promote some of our exciting new activities and visits our restaurants to make sure everyone is enjoying their meals.”
But after almost a decade away, Ronald McDonald is excitingly appearing on the new McDonald’s cards alongside:
- McDonald’s Multimixer
- Milkshake Dip
- Cheeseburger Chair
- Fry Girl
- Grimace
- Legendary Golden Arches card

The other collectable cards are under wraps for now, with the keepsakes set to launch in participating British eateries on Tuesday 17 March.
It has yet to be officially revealed how we will obtain the items.
However, if it’s anything like the previous Pokémon Trading Card Game promotion, then expect to find one inside a certain meal or as a reward for purchasing specific products, as per Dexerto.
If you’re hankering for a collectable moment and can’t wait to get your hands on the trading cards, then why not try lucky-dipping the new Friends Meal?
The collaboration has turned all six core Friends characters, including Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, and Ross, into cute mini-figures.
Unfortunately, McDonald’s has confirmed that you can’t buy the dinky characters separately, so you will need to purchase at least six of the Friends Meals if you want to own the set.
