Pop star Katy Perry claimed that showing up daily in a ‘small way’ was the key to unlocking her potential amid a new fashion collaboration with Balenciaga.
Despite her undeniably strong physique, 41-year-old Perry famously confessed that she hated ‘working out’ while filming her 2024 ITV concert special, Night of a Lifetime.
“I hear that my biceps were going around the internet,” she joked at Westminster’s Central Hall, as per the Daily Mail.
But her aversion to the gym doesn’t mean she despises moving her body; “You know what I love to do? I love to dance, swim and do things that don't feel like working out,” she quipped.

Additionally, the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer has previously professed her love for CorePower yoga classes, hiking, snowboarding, and playing pickleball with her friends, according to Women’s Health.

In her new promotion with Balenciaga, Perry said she is disciplined enough to move her body three to four times per week and eat healthily because she sees it as a form of ‘self-respect’.
“It’s also self love. It doesn’t have to be rigid. It can start out small, showing up just daily in a small way, and that’s how you build consistency over perfection,” she claimed, adding that the new Katy Perry Radar Sneaker was available to purchase in brick-and-mortar Balenciaga stores as well as online.
To maintain her health, the 13-time Grammy-nominated artist previously admitted to eating a protein-rich diet.
“I eat a lot of hard-boiled eggs because they are a great source of protein,” she claimed, as reported by Hello! Magazine.
Lean sources such as chicken and fish are prioritised alongside plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
To start the day, Perry said in January 2023 that she would gulp Cascade Mountain water, sometimes with added LMNT hydration salts.

“That is the best way to start, is just to drink water,” she told Women’s Health Magazine. “I know it's such a cliché, but I think a lot of us go straight to the coffee without just drinking a glass of water.”
Cold water or hot tea with added apple cider vinegar and a celery juice would usually follow, as per the interview.
Apple cider vinegar is a supplement which studies suggest may lower blood sugar and support weight loss and heart health.

The California native said she had ‘grown up’ drinking it, and that she usually reached for bottles of Bragg, a company for which she is an investor.
The liquids are often chased with ‘something that is light, but has some kick’, such as a banana or eggs.
Lunch is likely to consist of protein accompanied by a salad or soup if the weather is a bit nippy.
The ‘Hot N’ Cold’ icon will sit down for dinner between 6pm and 8pm because that’s when her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom - whom she shares with her ex-partner Orlando Bloom - eats.
“I used to go to dinner at eight o'clock and anyone that tries to make [a] reservation at eight o'clock, I'm like, ‘I'm out,’ it's too much,” she confessed.
Her evening meal would consist of protein, greens, and soup, or pasta, once or twice per week.

Perry has also discussed her relationship with alcohol in the past, admitting that she is both ‘into alcohol and also sober curious’.
Despite liking a tipple, the American often goes cold turkey in January and February, and may even take three to six months off drinking when she is ‘prepping for a tour or album release’.
In 2020, she co-founded De Soi, a non-alcoholic apértif brand.
“The meaning of De Soi is 'pleasure with restraint,' which I love, and that is really a definition for my life,” Perry said of the name.
“I have no shame, being both into alcohol and also being sober curious as well—I'm a real combination and I think De Soi is great.”
