McDonald’s fans say ‘now we’re talking’ as McFlurry flavours return for first time since 2009
McDonald’s has successfully relaunched a beloved McFlurry flavour that hasn’t been seen since the early 2000s, and it’s fair to say fans are ecstatic about getting their mitts on it again.
We’ve seen a plethora of food and drink released in the UK this summer, with Starbucks launching its Caramelised Banana capsule, Pringles reintroducing bitesize snacks, and M&S giving its viral strawberry sandwich a moreish, chocolatey twist.
Elsewhere, Taco Bell finally shared Mountain Dew Baja Blast with British fans; Greggs detailed how matcha lovers can get their mitts on the popular Gen Z drink for free; and cucumber pots dropped in one supermarket, much to customers’ dismay.
McDonald’s has had a busy couple of months, having debuted its FIFA World Cup meals and Squishmallows collaboration in time for the football tournament, introduced its vanilla matcha frappé, and announced what’s next for Happy Meals.

Today (14 July), regulars will see more limited-time items added to the menu as the chain’s midsummer promotion drops - and everyone is speaking about the desserts.
Yes, that’s right - for the first time since 2009, the Cornetto McFlurry has returned.
“I’ll be pitching my tent on the 13th July so I’m first in line for the Cornetto McFlurry,” said one fan via The Sun.
“This is just what the country needs to get us through the long hot summer.”
A second said: “Now we’re talking.”
“Loving cornetto Ice cream,” a third typed on Facebook.
Another commented: “Omg I wanna try them,” while someone else added: “Can you believe it’s been 17 years.”
This time around, Cornetto McFlurry comes in two flavours: chocolate and strawberry.
The latter features strawberry sauce paired with crispy chunks of the iconic Cornetto cone wafer, while the chocolate blends chocolate chunks, chocolate sauce, and those crispy wafer chunks.
Joining the sweet treats is a Hot Honey mini McFlurry - which is exactly what it says on the tin.
A dinky swirl of plain vanilla soft serve comes accompanied with a tub of McDonald’s new Hot Honey Sauce.

Stacked with two 100 percent British and Irish beef patties, bacon, white cheddar cheese slices, crispy and slivered onions, lettuce, and pickles, the Big Arch with Bacon puts a meaty twist on a new classic.
The fast-food item is finished with McDonald’s signature Big Arch sauce and sandwiched between a poppy & sesame seed bun.
Hot Honey McCrispy
The new Hot Honey McCrispy has arrived! 100 percent chicken breast in a crispy, crunchy coating served alongside Hot Honey sauce and sharp white cheddar cheese.
The burger comes in a delicious sourdough-style sesame-topped bun.
McDonald’s breakfast additions
Anyone who heads into their local eatery before 11am can pick up a single or double Hot Honey Sausage and Egg McMuffin.
It’s the classic McDonald’s breakfast you know and love, spiked with a sweet yet spicy sauce. What’s not to love?

The new Korean BBQ Dip blends sweet soy, ginger, and garlic for a deep umami flavour.
The sauce, alongside the Ranch and Hot Honey variants, can be purchased for 70p.
New McDonald’s Drinks
Strawberry Candyfloss Frappé
This July, the Strawberry Candyfloss Frappé launches. The treat is a blend of strawberry flavour with saccharine candyfloss notes.
Each beverage is topped with a swirl of cream and glistening sprinkles.
Green Apple x Sprite Zero
Back by popular demand, the Green Apple x Sprite Zero remix is set to land for the first time since last summer.
Engineered as the ultimate refreshment, the beverage combines Sprite Zero with sugar-free green apple-flavoured syrup.
