Pre-packed office lunches and cheeky snack moments are about to get a whole lot more exciting as Pringles is set to relaunch an ‘essential’ product previously seen in the UK almost 20 years ago.

Back in 2005, McDonald’s was selling Bobble Heads in Happy Meals, Burger King introduced BK Chicken Fries, and Pringles had just come out with a grab-and-go option known as Pringles Minis.

The dinky nostalgic snack came in a grab-and-go size and featured a slide-out snack tray with bite-sized versions of its iconic crisp.

Despite the initial hype, the business elected to discontinue the product in the late 2000s, with users of a Digital Spy thread claiming they disappeared from shops in 2009.

It’s been 17 years since the cult item was on shelves, and apparently some Redditors can’t remember them at all.

“I have never seen these before! Wow,” said one, while a second wrote: “That is adorable. Was this from like 10-15 years ago when 100 calorie snack packs were everywhere?”

Die-hard fans of the brand will be pleased to know that the crisp connoisseurs have finally brought the iconic lunchtime staple back - and it’s launching sooner, rather than later.

On July 2, snack fans will be able to get their hands on new-and-improved Pringles Minis for the first time.

The new item, developed over a four-year period, is designed to give consumers the exact same Pringles crunch and ‘hyperbolic paraboloid curve’ but in a smaller format - making it perfect for on-the-go eating.

Unlike its parent, the Pringles Minis won’t come in a tray format. Instead, you can grab multipacks containing six 20g bags.

Excitingly, seasoning will also feature on both sides of the soon-to-be midday go-to.

At launch, the Pringles Minis will come in Original, Sour Cream & Onion, and BBQ flavours.

You can purchase the 6 x 20g bags from major retailers. Oricing being left up to the sole discretion of the supermarket.

Speaking about the decision to make the potato product ultra-mini for 2026, Beth Brushett from the brand said: “Mini products and bite-sized treats are having such a big cultural moment right now, so it felt like the perfect time to launch Pringles Minis.

“We’ve spent years perfecting a mini version of our iconic crisp that goes in a bag, making it the perfect addition to lunchboxes across the UK. We can’t wait to hear what Pringles fans think.”

KP Snacks crisp brands close down

As mini Pringles come back into the fold, another crisp brand bites the dust, with KP Snacks announcing its self-branded crisps have been axed.

The pub classics, which came in Salted, Cheese & Onion, Beef, and Salt & Vinegar flavour, are being shelved for the company to focus on its ‘wider portfolio’.

“We understand these products have a loyal following and thank consumers for their continued support of our brands,” a spokesperson confirmed.

Tyrell's vegetable crisps are also set to be no more as KP Snacks announced its factory in Staffordshire was shutting down.

It’s understood that the decision had been made due to a ‘sustained’ decline in demand as well as ‘the loss of key export volumes’.

The company claimed that while the vegetable crisps would be slowly phased out, its other items were ‘not affected’ by the factory closure.
