Nutella has finally answered sweet treat prayers with the launch of its new freezer aisle products, described as ‘10/10’ desserts and diet plan ‘dangers’.

Last week (13 May), the beloved chocolate-hazelnut spread brand announced that Nutella Ice Cream, which comes in 14-ounce containers and 3.04-ounce single-serve wafer cone form, would be making freezer-aisle debuts in the United States.

The large tubs, priced from $4.36 in stores, are designed to offer Nutella fans a ‘rich, multi-textured’ delight in a ‘spoonable format’.

Meanwhile, the cones are engineered for ‘spontaneous moments on the go’.

The latter comes in packs of four with a retail starting price of $5.47.

However, some eagle-eyed social media users have found the Nutella Ice Cream cones in mega 10-pack boxes.

The launch has seemingly already been well received, with one firm fan taking to X to write: “Nutella coming out with that ice cream was very dangerous.”

A second replied: “Okay but nutella ice cream is sooo gooddd.”

A third X user shared an image of the cones with three fire emojis, calling them a ‘10/10’ product, while a fourth added: “Trying to ‘lock in for the summer’ and then my mom brings Nutella ice cream home.”

Nutella Peanut landed in US stores last month

The doublet follows hot on the heels of Ferrero launching the first new Nutella flavour in more than six decades.

The product, known simply as Nutella Peanut, was formulated to deliver the ‘same creamy experience fans know and love’ blended with the ‘irresistible taste of roasted peanuts’.

“Our fans have been asking for this for years. We heard them, and afternoon snack time will never be the same, said Noah Szporn, Senior Vice President of Spreads, Ferrero North America.

"Nutella Peanut was developed specifically for this market: It brings together a new taste experience that blends the unmistakable creaminess of Nutella with the delicious taste of roasted peanuts.”

New York hosted an exclusive celebration event last weekend at 372 Lafayette Street, where fans of the brand would win games and win Nutella Peanut-themed prizes.
