Subway is rolling out its first-ever value menu, featuring a host of customisable entrees, including Protein Pockets and all-new Deli Faves, for just $5.
Following hot on the heels of the budget-friendly McDonald’s ‘under $3’ promotion is Subway’s inaugural Fresh Value Menu - a grab-and-go option that doesn’t compromise flavour for price.
The wallet-friendly lineup launched last week (28 April) with 15 items that all offer quality ingredients, an assortment of tastes, and satisfying portion sizes at an unmatched price.
Leading the launch are the four Deli Faves. The collection of deli-inspired, six-inch, fully-customisable subs is priced at $3.99 each and come in three varieties.

The first is the new Spicy Pepperoni, featuring aged pepperoni, pepper Jack cheese, crispy lettuce, Roma tomatoes, red onions, spicy jalapeños and creamy Sriacha.

If you’re not much of a spice fiend then perhaps the new Ham & Salami sandwich will be more up your street.
The Subway treat is composed of Black Forest ham, Genoa salami, Italian-style Provolone, lettuce, Roma tomatoes, and honey mustard.
Classic options like the B. L. T and the Cold Cut Combo - featuring turkey-based bologna - make up the remaining Deli Faves list.
Protein Pockets were introduced to Subway menus across the nation in January and are now included in the Fresh Value Menu deal.
Pick from a $3.99 Italian Trio, Peppercorn Ranch Chicken, Turkey Ham, or Baja Chicken.
Each Protein Pocket contains more than 20g of protein blended with hand-chopped veggies and fan-favorite sauces, such as garlic aioli and honey mustard.
There are also seven Sub of the Day options to choose from for $4.99.

The rotating wonders come in a six-inch size, with a Meatball Marinara being available on a monday, and Classic Tuna on a Tuesday.
You can grab a Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sub on Wednesday, and an Oven-Roasted Turkey on Thursday.
Friday is all about Black Forest Ham, with an Italian B.M.T. being cast as the star of the show on Saturdays.
Bringing home the week is Spicy Italian Sunday, where revellers can pick up a six-inch Spicy Italian sandwich for just $4.99.
Speaking about the launch, Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer, North America said: “Subway's Fresh Value Menu proves you don't have to choose between eating well and saving money.
"Your wallet and stomach deserve freshly-baked bread, real protein and the perfect combination of sauces and hand-chopped veggies – all for under $5”.
You should note that if you live in California, Washington, Alaska or Hawaii, then the prices are likely to be a bit higher, as per a Subway press release.
It’s advised that you check your app for pricing and participating stores.

But with the good news comes the bad; it was announced late last month that the United States was losing a BBQ institution.
The popular chain, known as Smokey Bones, shuttered all stores across the county, with owners, FAT BRands, confirming the brand was finished for good.
“As of yesterday [April 28, 2026], all Smokey Bones locations have ceased operations. On behalf of Management, it has been a privilege to serve our customers," they told the outlet.
PEOPLE also reported that they spoke to an employee from one of the branches in Ohio who also confirmed it had closed.
