Brooklyn Beckham's pasta video leaves people distracted by 'dirty' detail

Brooklyn Beckham has reshared one of his most controversial cooking videos on social media, and fans and critics alike still have a lot to say about his culinary prowess.

Keen followers will already be aware that the 27-year-old regularly takes to TikTok and Instagram to highlight what he’s been dishing up in the kitchen he shares with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz-Beckham.

From buttermilk pancakes to classic Spaghetti Bolognese walkthroughs, Beckham is no stranger to going viral. However, it’s often for the wrong reasons.

Last year, he received some heat after tanking a question about British Michelin-starred cooks, claiming Gordon Ramsay and Clare Smyth were the only two he could name.

And now chaos is ensuing in his comments section once again.

Brooklyn Beckham’s tomato pasta recipe divides fans

In August, the eldest son of former Manchester United footballer Sir David Beckham, 51, and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, 52, re-uploaded a video captioned ‘tomato pasta’.

The quick recipe saw the ex-photographer announcing that he’d be cooking the dish in fresh seawater.

After scooping up the water in a stainless steel pot, Beckham returned to his yacht’s galley to cut up and fry cherry tomatoes.

Whilst the fruit was on the heat, he added what appeared to be garlic, salt, and a glug of his hot sauce, Cloud23.

Meanwhile, Beckham placed pasta in the seawater pan to cook.

Eventually, the dish came together; a chef was roped in to dry the delight.

It’s not known if either enjoyed the simple pasta dish, but it may be assumed with the pair fist-bumping before the screen went black.

Viewers have particularly taken offence over the ex-model’s decision to use fresh seawater to cook, rather than from the tap or the kettle.

“Isn’t the ocean water dirty?” one TikTok user asked, while another said: “Is boat exhaust the secret ingredient?”

A third chimed in: “As Italian, I’m pretty sure that sea water is the best way to spent all the next day in the bathroom.”

Others have mocked the star for the simplistic recipe, causing one to quip: “Can we have boiled egg next please.”

“Forget making pasta you need to make amends,” someone else remarked, referring to the reported feud Beckham and his parents are embroiled in.

The LA-based cook has also been defended by many, with another TikTok user calling him ‘sweet’.

“He has a passion for cooking which is clear !! So hard for a child of a celeb !! He just wants to live his life happy like we all do,” they lamented.

“Ignore the average folk in the comments. They'd give their first born to have what you do... Keep being you,” someone else typed.

A third commented: “Why the hate to this boy that is only cooking?”

Gordon Ramsay weighed in on Beckham reported feud

Ramsay, 59, who is a close personal friend of Beckham’s father, waded into their apparent fallout earlier this year.

The comments were made following a series of allegations posted to Instagram, claiming there were no plans to 'reconcile’ with his famous family as he wanted to ‘stand up’ for himself for the ‘first time’ in his life.

“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” Beckham claimed. “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Calling the situation a ‘very difficult one’, Ramsay told The Sun that while he ‘loved’ Beckham, he believed it was only a ‘matter of time’ until he ‘understood what his parents mean to him’.

“Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible,” the Hell’s Kitchen favourite continued.

“But it’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. It’s easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back.”

After claiming it was a ‘good thing’ to try and forge your own career, he added: “But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that.”

“I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself. And remember: you’re half mum, half dad. And you’re an amazing young man.

“But, boy, they’ve done more for you than anyone did in your entire life,” he added.

April 2022: Brooklyn and Nicola tie the knot

On 9 April 2022, Brooklyn and Nicola got married in a lavish ceremony in front of 500 guests at her family's estate in Palm Beach, Florida, two years after getting engaged.

Aug 2022: The first reports of a feud between Nicola and Victoria Beckham

Just months after the wedding, media sources were starting to report on a 'full-on cold war' between Nicola and her new mum-in-law.

According to Page Six, 'the build-up to the wedding was horrendous' and they 'can’t stand each other and don’t talk'.

Reports also claimed much of the feud came from Nicola's decision to wear a Valentino wedding dress instead of a piece designed by Victoria's fashion house, but they appeared to quash these rumours.

March 2023: The Beckhams play happy families

In March 2023, the Beckhams seemed to be happier than ever and were posing for photos at Victoria's Paris fashion show.

April 2025: The family rift resurfaces

Two years on, it was reported that Brooklyn and Nicola had snubbed David's 50th birthday party at Cipriani Downtown Miami.

And then, just days later, TMZ claimed that Brooklyn and brother Romeo weren't speaking due to a fallout over Romeo's girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who had a 'romantic connection' with Brooklyn 'several years ago'.

Cruz later insisted that Brooklyn and Kim had never actually dated, and in May of 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be seen as the birthday celebrations for David continued.

July 2025: Mass unfollowing on social media

In July 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola unfollowed Romeo and Cruz and vice versa.

August 2025: David and Victoria miss vow renewals

The following month, David and Victoria are reported not to have attended the Peltz-Beckham vow renewals.

And by December that year, it was reported that Brooklyn no longer followed his parents, and they no longer followed him, and the youngest brother was quick to set the record straight.

Dec 2025: Cruz speaks out

Cruz wrote on his Instagram Stories about the claims that he and his family had unfollowed Brooklyn: "NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I."

Jan 2026: Brooklyn takes legal action

In January 2026, it was claimed that Brooklyn sent a legal letter to his parents, insisting they only contact him via his lawyer; a rule which Victoria is believed to have broken when she 'liked' an Instagram post he made about a roast chicken.

Jan 2026: Brooklyn breaks silence on family feud

In a shock statement posted on his Instagram Stories on 19 January, Brooklyn made some bombshell claims about his family, which included how his parents have tried to 'ruin' his relationship with Nicola, have always 'controlled' his life, and how 'Brand Beckham' comes first before anything else.

March 2026: David reaches out to Brooklyn

David shared a post to celebrate Brooklyn’s birthday, writing: "27 Today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you."

He shared an old photo of Brooklyn as a child and tagged Victoria, but was unable to tag Brooklyn since his son has blocked him.

The post was met with stony silence from Brooklyn.

June 2026: Harper turns up at Brooklyn’s door

Harper, Brooklyn’s 14-year-old sister and the Beckhams’ youngest child, was photographed outside Brooklyn’s door hand-delivering a letter. Brooklyn and Nicola were believed to be in New York at the time.

A rep for the Peltz-Beckhams savagely responded: "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all - this was choreographed for the cameras."

Meanwhile, Brooklyn releases a DoorDash World Cup ad clearly taking a swipe at his family. He says in the commercial: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It’s a long story."
