Cynthia Nixon, star of Sex and the City and And Just Like That, has taken to Instagram to share a rare peek into her home - and there's one detail that caught the attention of fans.
Nixon, 59, captioned the video, “I think I need a few more vases (and an in-home hair stylist)", with the ensuing video running through some insights into her daily rituals.
Along with this home in Montauk, she also has a $4.4 million (£3.3 million) Manhattan townhouse which she bought in 2021, and she has a reported net worth of $20 million (£15,200,000).

Nixon tells followers in the clip: “This is my kitchen in Montauk. I'm about to serve up some coffee."
She then ambles around the space whilst introducing her ‘pots and pans and colanders’, a basket hanging by the window that she uses to collect fresh food from her garden, and more besides.
“This is all my vases because there’s a lot of flowers in the garden,” she says whilst gesturing to the extensive collection, and a pot of steeping tea which she calls ‘very important, very precious’.
She then finishes off making her coffee, with a Moka pot and some steamed and foamed-up milk that looks absolutely delicious.
Despite the fame and fortune that’s come from her time starring alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, and Kristin Davis, many people were surprised to see that Nixon’s Montauk kitchen looks remarkably down to Earth and lived in.
"Finally, a celebrity kitchen that looks like someone uses it!" one commented.
Nixon’s self-effacing and chipper manner is a far cry from the self-serious and exacting Miranda of Sex and the City, and the clutter and charm of her kitchen has won praise from commenters pleased to see a ‘real’ living space behind the fame.

“I love your kitchen... Feels so real, practical, so much love and always ready,” another agreed.
A third wrote: "This is the best thing I’ve seen all day! Love how well used your pots and pans are and can see the sign that you actually use the kitchen, often. Love that you grow your own kale ! I would love to see your veggie garden."
With the basket, fresh kale, and some secateurs on the countertop, it looks like the garden is a pretty serious operation... Garden tour next?
