Another of Brooklyn Peltz Beckham’s recipe videos have rocked the internet - and this time it’s Italians who are up in arms, branding the clip an ‘insult’ and taking issue with the dish’s ingredients.
The 26-year-old has been immersed in the culinary world since shifting away from his photography career in 2020; starting his own hot sauce line, Cloud 23, and putting plans in place to eventually open a fast-food joint in the United States.
Beckham, who is the son of fashion designer Victoria and former Manchester United footballer David, is also known for his easy-to-follow meal walkthroughs, which are often shared with his 17 million Instagram followers.
His latest is a take on the classic Spaghetti Bolognese - a non-traditional, Italian dish which historians name as a modern adaptation of authentic Ragù alla Bolognese.

The comfort meal’s main ingredients usually consist of spaghetti pasta, a rich meat sauce made with beef mince, as well as vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, and garlic.
Beckham’s plat du jour was made with finely-chopped onions, celery, and carrots, ground beef, a healthy slug of red wine, and a handful of bayleaf.
Once the ingredients were mixed together, he aded in tinned tomatoes, a squeeze of tomato paste, and salt, as well as a generous handful of pepper.
He added pasta and some starchy cooking water to the pot before topping the rich dish with some grated cheese and olive oil to serve.
“My special Spaghetti Bolognese xx,” the businessman captioned the video, which has been viewed more than three million times on Instagram.
Social media users have come out in droves to debate the recipe, with Italians particularly being more than a little triggered.

One of the issues which cropped up in the comments was the fact that Beckham selected a French track to serve as backing music.
This is despite pasta and bolognese sauce being Italian dishes.
“Please, next time you cook an Italian dish, put on Italian music, it's an insult to put on French music!” one disgruntled user wrote.
“Can you play an Italian song next time? Bolognese originated from Bologna, a city in northern Italy not France!” another echoed.
Others were just offended more generally, with one commenting: "An Italian died after this dish.”
Ouch.
One also pointed out that a shape like tagliatelle would have been more traditional - although another flagged that the dish wasn't actually made with spaghetti anyway, with the cook choosing to use orecchiette instead.
Orecchiette, which translates as ‘little ears’ is a characterised by its small, dome-like shape, and features a smooth inside and a rough, thicker edge.
Beckham has addressed using the wrong pasta shape, admitting in a comment: “I was going to use spaghetti but ran out.”
Some fans have come out to defend him, claiming: “We always have it with penne but still call it Spaghetti Bolognese too.”
Another typed: “It happens to the best of us pal!!”
Other users used the space to congratulate him for ‘standing up for himself’, referring to the bombshell claims he made against his parents.
After months of speculation regarding his relationship with Victoria, 51, and David, 50, he alleged in a series of social media posts that he had no plans to ‘reconcile’ with his famous family.
He alleged he’d been ‘silent for years’ and that his parents had tried to ‘endlessly ruin’ his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31.
Beckham also claimed his mother ‘danced inappropriately’ on him during his and Nicola’s wedding day, and that they tried to ‘pressure him’ into signing away the rights to his name.
Due to Beckham making headlines recently, fans have admitted they are a little distracted.
“Just pops back on like he didn’t break the internet last week,” joked one viewer.
Someone else said: “Funny how we can all see this but the actual Beckhams are blocked.”
“Yummmmm!!!! on a sidenote congratulations for standing up for yourself just because there our parents doesn’t mean they get to treat us with disrespect,” reported a third.
