Brooklyn Beckham has divided fans with another one of his go-to recipes, drawing damning comments about the dish’s lack of ‘seasoning’ and sauces.
After trying his hand at football, modelling, and photography, Beckham, 26, launched his cooking career in 2021 with his former online video series Cookin’ With Brooklyn.
Since then, he’s launched his own hot sauce company, Cloud23, has plans to bring fast food joint Beck’s Buns to the United States, and more recently collaborated on a cooking tutorial with Express, an American fashion store.
The clip was shared to Instagram earlier this week and saw the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham cooking a beer-brined chicken.

To begin, the businessman sliced up some oranges and cracked open four bottles of beer.
He poured the amber liquid over a whole chicken, the oranges, carrots, garlic, and other roughly cut up vegetables before sprinkling in some fresh herbs, salt and pepper.

Onions were chopped and a ton of ice was tipped on top of the concoction, which was left to brine for 24 hours, according to the clip.

Once a day had passed, Beckham placed the chicken on top of a bed of herbs and vegetables, injecting it with what can be assumed was the leftover brine.
Rosemary-infused butter was placed both inside the chicken and on the bed of vegetables before he placed it in the oven for 45-60 minutes.
Beckham served the cooked chicken with buttery homemade mashed potatoes and a spoonful of veggies.
The recipe, which has amassed more than 7,700 likes, has divided viewers, with one typing: “Looks gorgeous.”

Another Instagram user claimed: “Merry Christmas Brooklyn. Your Beer Brined Chicken looks awesome. All the best for the New Year.”

However, others have called out the budding chef, with someone else commenting: “What about the brine? No gravy?”
“Where is the seasoning?” questioned a second critic.

A third remarked: “Great. You’ve done what most women do every Sunday in the UK. Call your parents.”
A fellow Instagram user said that Beckham try cooking with his father, who owns his own honey range, BEEUP.
“Needs gravy asap,” added another.
This isn’t the first time that Beckham has received backlash for one of his recipes.

Earlier this year, the US-based social media star whipped up tomato pasta using seawater, rather than water from the tap.
Cooking with sea water is traditional amongst coastal communities around the world, and generally is safe to do.
But that didn’t stop Instagram users from commenting on the practice.
“Not sure about that water,” someone wrote.
A second remarked: “Wait, why the ocean water? Lol!”
Someone else defended Beckham, who is married to actress Nicola Peltz.
They typed: “That’s sea water, perfect amount of salt for cooking pasta.”
In June, the 26-year-old said he tried not to let social media criticism get him down.
“There’s always going to be people that say not nice things,” he admitted.
“But I love cooking. It makes me happy. So I just put my head down and I make amazing dishes for people.”
