McDonald’s fans are thrilled after something they’ve been asking for since the 2010’s is making a comeback.
Happy days, the Snack Wrap is coming back to UK restaurants after a decade away.
The much-missed menu item will return from 11am on Tuesday, October 6, giving customers another chance to get their hands on the chicken wrap that first appeared on the British menu in 2006.
It was eventually removed in 2016, but that did little to stop people talking about it.

The Snack Wrap became one of those discontinued McDonald’s items that seemed to acquire an even bigger following once it had disappeared.
There’s a slight difference to the previous incarnation.
The 2026 version features a Chicken Select, lettuce and black pepper mayo inside a flour tortilla.
Prepare yourself, fromage fans, as the cheese has gone.

It will cost £1.99 on the Saver Menu, while customers can also get it as part of Meal Deal Plus through the McDonald’s app.
The reaction online suggests there are plenty of customers who have not forgotten it.
A discussion on the McDonald’s UK Reddit page in September asked people which discontinued menu item they would most like to see return.
Snack Wraps were among the answers, with one person replying simply: “Snack wrap returning next!”
One fan listed the different versions of the Snack Wrap, including barbecue and salsa varieties, while another customer simply said the wrap was ‘elite’.
One fan wrote, “SCREAMING, CRYING, IVE BEEN WAITING [FOR] THIS”, while a dedicated Instagram account that posted solely to demand the return wrote to McDonald’s with: “Victory is ours.”
Another customer reminisced: “My last time having one was in 2016 and I took it for granted not knowing it’d be my last time.”

“I can’t wait, give me ten now,” demanded another eager fan.
Still, the demand for the Snack Wrap has been remarkably persistent.
A 2025 discussion about discontinued McDonald’s products attracted a long list of customers asking for old favourites, while Snack Wraps repeatedly appeared among the suggestions.
For customers who remember grabbing one on the way home from school, ordering one on a lunch break or simply never understanding why it disappeared in the first place, October 6 could feel like a small trip back to the 2000s.
Will the new version live up to the memory if it doesn’t have the cheese?
Hopefully nostalgia will win, but judging by the masses of comments, we don’t think people will mind too much.
If they’re not a fan, there’s also a major new Heist menu to enjoy with flavours from around the world, with food and drinks inspired by seven countries, including Germany, Canada, Australia, India, China, the Netherlands and the UAE.
Popular items so far include Mac and Cheese bites and The Big Rösti burger.
It combines a British and Irish beef patty with a crispy potato rösti, streaky bacon, a cheese slice, creamy baconnaise and cheese sauce, all inside a toasted glazed sesame bun.
Fans have also been loving the new breakfast additions, including a Chicken & Egg McMuffin.
