Everybody’s favourite UK staycation destination, Butlin’s, has introduced a game-changing new way for guests to enjoy their evenings - and we think you’re probably going to like it.
Never been to or even heard of Butlin’s? In a nutshell: it’s a British chain of all-inclusive family seaside resorts offering fixed chalet or lodge accommodation.
Alongside cushy living spaces, holidaymakers have the option to sample some of the finest, family-friendly entertainment in the UK, including singers, dance acts, and even former WWE wrestlers if they are lucky.
Even though it is primarily designed for making family memories, it doesn’t mean that adults can’t get a little wild, with a full bar menu on offer, featuring beers, spirits, and even cocktails on some properties.

Excitingly, those who enjoy boozing at Butlin’s across the country are about to benefit from a new, history-making concept.

For the first time in Europe, customers can head up to self-serve bars in Butlin’s based in Bognor Regis, Minehead, and Skegness.
Unlike traditional bars, these kiosks will not be manned. Instead, you simply take your cup up to the Boxbar machine and hit the button for the beverage you want.
According to a report by The Sun, the three resorts introduced 100 self-service Boxbar machines, dramatically reducing so that queue times.
Apparently, it can take just six seconds to get one of 20 drinks on offer.
To make good on the innovative install, you just have to make sure you’re on a Butlin’s All Inclusive Drinks package (prices start from £25.95 per adult per day).
Speaking about the new technology, Heidi Watson, Head of Innovation at the company said: “This is an exciting first for Butlin’s.
“Everything we do is about improving the guest experience and our new Boxbar Self-Serve Bars will make a real difference to guests on a family break or a Big Weekender.
“Open in time for the school summer holidays, the bars are designed to reduce wait times and make it quicker and easier for guests to get a drink.

“This means less time queuing and more time enjoying their holiday with family and friends.”
More time guzzling and less time queuing? Sounds almost too good to be true, right?

The all-inclusive drinks bundle isn’t the only deal that hopeful tourists can make this summer, with dining packages available to suit every taste and budget.
