A cohort of farm shops frequently visited by A-list stars and influencers like Molly Mae-Haugue has made a major change ahead of a busy Christmas period.
The decision comes amid the enforcement of strict restrictions designed to protect shoppers’ and employees’ privacy.
Tell a Cheshire local you’re planning a festive-season visit, and they’ll probably point you towards the famed Hollies Farm Shop.
The family-run company, operating sites in Little Budworth, Lower Stretton and Tarporley, is beloved for its artisan-made breads, delicious cured meats, luxury wines, and locally produced fruits and vegetables.

Molly-Mae Hague has previously praised the business—which began back in the 1950s as an honesty-box vegetable stall—claiming in a 2023 vlog that everything The Hollies Farm Shop sold was ‘just unreal’.
Within days of the video posting, the establishment experienced a massive boom, with tourists forming huge queues to sample locally grown cabbage, cakes, and fresh punnets of strawberries.

Other famous faces who have visited include Premier League footballer Jack Grealish and actress Courteney Cox, who previously stayed in its on-site forest lodges, as per the Knutsford Guardian.
As a result of its unprecedented popularity, the farm store - dubbed the 'Harrods of the north' - introduced strict new rules impacting influencers like the Love Island star.
“A kind request: please no photography or filming 10am to 4.30pm,” a notice on The Hollies Farm Shop reads.

The legislation was brought in to help ‘respect the privacy’ of customers and the team. Anyone wanting to film professionally can speak to management.
Now, the Cheshire favourite has announced its Little Budworth Christmas Shop will not be open on weekends, despite it being one of the busiest periods of the year.
The temporary message was announced alongside news that its cafe at the same site will operate as a takeaway-only venue on Saturdays and Sundays.
"To help us look after everyone safely and keep things running smoothly during our busiest times, our Little Budworth Christmas Shop is currently closed at weekends, and our café operates as takeaway only at weekends,” a statement read.
“These arrangements may occasionally need to change if the site becomes particularly busy.”
Customers who prefer a ‘full cafe experience’ are advised to attend the sister site at Lower Stretton for a full menu, or the Tarporley branch for a full cafe service.
Anyone who desires a quiet visit should go to one of The Hollies’ sites before 10am or after 4pm at weekends.
“Thank you for your patience, kindness and continued support,” the Instagram statement continued.
“We love welcoming you to The Hollies and never take your support for granted.”
