Drew McIntyre consumes a colossal 6,200 calories every day to keep up with the demands of his WWE career - a limit that his fitness coach recently introduced.
The 40-year-old, whose real name is Andrew McLean Galloway IV, is a five-time World Champion, a one-time Royal Rumble winner, a Money In The Bank ladder match hero, and the 31st WWE Triple Crown Champion.
Since returning to the company in 2014 following a three-year hiatus, the celebrity has transformed his body and recently taken a keen interest in his diet.
In conversation with Men’s Health, the first and only British champion in WWE history revealed how he manages to burn through 6,200 calories a day.

“I’ve just got to force it in sometimes, especially when I’m travelling, because I get very tired jumping from country to country and the jet lag suppresses any appetite,” he confessed.

“But back home, I’ve got a routine. It’s easier to stick to, but I find the more I eat, the more hungry I get.”
The Scottish Warrior, who was born on the southwest coast of the nation, said in March that the surplus is actually a pretty new development.
“In the past six months, I got a new trainer, and he said that I’m not eating nearly enough.
“He said I needed to eat more carbs. I never saw carbs as important, but they’re just as, if not more, important as protein, so he’s upped my carbs massively.”
Now, McIntyre eats five times per day and stuffs his plate with carbs and protein.
McIntyre was holding ‘a lot of inflammation’ before diet change
Prior to working with his trainer, Jeff Black, the Claymore specialist was eating everything and anything, such as pizza and burgers, in surplus amounts.
However, these carbohydrates were apparently causing the SmackDown star to ‘hold a lot of inflammation’ in his body, which was allegedly damaging his insides and keeping him in ‘pain’ after matches.
“We’ve got that inflammation right down, so I just feel so much better, I move so much better, and as a side effect of the diet and working out all the time and staying structured, I look better on top of it,” he said in an interview with The Sun.

“Once you get in that routine that works for you and you stay consistent, and you see the difference, you feel the results, you just don’t want to get off of it, and you might just become champion of the world.”
He added to Men’s Health that he now feels far ‘better’ at 40 than he did at 28, and that focusing on his diet as well as mobility has really ‘turned back time’ on his age.
The WWE icon’s go-to chain stores on the road
According to the first-ever British WrestleMania champion, fast-food chains like Burger King are ‘convenient’ for achieving his intense calorie goal on the move.
However, he is apparently more partial to American meal-prep stores and places like Chipotle, where you can create your own burrito bowl with some meat and some rice.
He claimed that the Chipotle dish may be ‘basic’, but it’s ‘still tasty’.

Why isn’t Drew McIntyre on SmackDown?
McIntyre is currently listed as inactive on WWE following his losing WrestleMania 42 unsanctioned match against the Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu.
While Fatu prepares to face his Roman Reigns - his real-life cousin and fellow member of the Anoa'i Samoan wrestling dynasty - at Backlash, McIntyre is in the Western Highlands filming the Highlander reboot with Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan and Henry Cavill.
The sportsman will play Angus MacLeod, the brother of Cavill’s character, Connor MacLeod, in the Amazon MGM Studios flick.
Highlander is currently anticipated to be released in 2027 or 2028.
