Tineke ‘Tini’ Younger has broken her silence after critics cruelly blamed the 24-year-old’s work ethic for the death of her twin daughter.
In November 2025, the American chef, who has 12.3 million TikTok followers, announced that she had experienced a devastating placental abruption.
The latter sees the placenta separating from the lining of the uterus before the completion of the second stage of labour. It can decrease or block the baby's supply of oxygen and nutrients and cause heavy bleeding in the mother, as per the Mayo Clinic.
As a result, the former Next Level Chef competitor lost her and husband Antoine Wright Jr’s ‘sweet girl Arya’ at 36 weeks. She also gave birth prematurely to her daughter, known only as Baby L.

“Arya will always be celebrated, her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister,” she wrote at the time via Facebook.
“I will be taking a break, not sure for how long but I promise I will be back. I love you guys.”
Returning to social media on for the first time in three months, the TikTok star thanked fans for their support amid her difficult period.
Heartbreakingly, she used her comeback on 2 February to address critics who alleged it was ‘her fault’ that her placenta separated from her uterus.
"I saw a lot of people saying, 'Oh, it's because she was overworking herself by filming videos and doing this,'” she said. “It was not my fault.
“Unfortunately, that's why twins are high risk, especially mono-di twins.”
Monochorionic/diamniotic twins are two identical babies who develop with the same placenta but in separate amniotic sacs, as per Healthline.
Risks related to these pregnancies include: umbilical cord entanglement or compression, foetal growth restriction, premature birth, and the placental abruption, which Younger experienced.
In addition to the placental abruption, Younger confirmed that she suffered postpartum preeclampsia.
The latter is a serious, rare condition that occurs when you have high blood pressure and excess protein in your urine soon after childbirth, the Mayo Clinic says.
The TikToker, who previously worked on Gordon Ramsay’s Bite Originals YouTube channel, said she is ‘still dealing with complications’ of the condition.
Elsewhere in the video, the author admitted she ‘always’ wears Arya’s ashes around her neck and that she tries to talk about her with Baby L ‘all the time’.
Younger, who married Wright Jr in November 2024, said that the pair had created a memorial in their child’s room.
"It has [Arya’s] picture, her footprints and her urn.
“Her sister looks at her all the time... She smiles. It's the most aware she's ever been is when she sees that memorial she literally always try to look at it.”
