Gordon Ramsay has always been a passionate guy; whether it’s in the kitchen, on television, or talking about his family, the Michelin-starred chef has built a reputation on intensity, honesty and heart.

This week, that familiar emotion surfaced again, as Gordon Ramsay — who recently shared old photos of his own wedding from 29 years ago — walked his daughter Holly down the aisle as she married Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

The wedding took place on Saturday, 27 December, at Bath Abbey, with Holly, 25, arriving in a classic white gown and veil on her father’s arm. Peaty, 30, is a three-time Olympic champion and one of the UK’s most decorated swimmers. The couple had made their relationship public in 2023 and announced their engagement in the following year.

Father Ramsay marked the day with a deeply personal Instagram post of his own, saying: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adamramsaypeaty ! I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx.”

That said, the wedding hasn't been free from drama, with a reported ongoing family feud bringing a bit of tension into the whole affair. Whilst Peaty's sister Bethany was part of Holly's bridal party, many of his other family members were left out — with his mother Caroline even saying that the new married couple had 'cut her heart out'.

It's claimed Ramsay took things even further in his wedding speech. According to The Sun, he described Peaty as a 'lucky man' while complimenting Holly on how beautiful she looked, comparing her to his wife Tana.

He said: "Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to," gesturing to Adam about Holly, he then followed up with: "Shame you don’t have the same."

That said, family has always been central to Ramsay’s world, even if there is drama going on behind the scenes. Away from the heat of the TV world and running a restaurant empire, he is a devoted husband to his wife, Tana, and a proud father to their children, often sharing glimpses of home life alongside his professional triumphs. From graduations and birthdays to quiet everyday wins, Ramsay has regularly used social media to celebrate the people closest to him.

Daughter Holly was exactly the same when announcing her engagement last September, with her post describing Peaty as her best friend and expressing gratitude for the life they are building together, including his young son, George, saying: “I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you.”

The ceremony was attended by close family members and friends, with several high-profile guests like the Beckham family - David, Victoria, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, as noted by People.

Responding to Gordon Ramsay’s post, there were plenty loving the good news. Chef and TV host, Carla Hall, wrote: “So beautiful. I knowwwwwww there will be tears. Lots of joyful TEARS. Congratulations to the beautiful couple.”

A fan responded: “Congratulations! You have a beautiful family.”

There were some users that got really wrapped up in the sentiment, saying: “I'm not crying! You're crying! ... But seriously this is so special. Enjoy it beautiful humans xo.”
