Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has revealed the advice her husband, Prince Harry, gave her to help her get through ‘tough moments’ amid the launch of her new food-orientated film.
On Tuesday (28 July), the Duchess, 44, attended a special screening for Cookie Queens, the documentary executively produced by her and Harry, Duke of Sussex’s company, Archewell Productions.
The Alysa Nahmias-directed film, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, follows four girls striving to top the Girl Scout Cookies bestseller list.
According to an official synopsis, it sees the children ‘navigating an $800 million business in which childhood and ambition collide’.

Cookie Queens is the first non-Netflix project that Archewell Productions has worked on, following series including Harry & Meghan, Polo, and Heart of Invictus.

During the screening, the mother-of-two took to the stage for a Q&A session where she revealed the advice that her husband gave her to get through ‘really hard days’.
People Magazine reported that when she was asked how she motivates herself through ‘tough moments’, Meghan said: “I think so much of it, funny enough, I was thinking about something my husband told me ages ago, because we all go through experiences and life is full of surprises.
“But you know, he was a helicopter pilot in the British Army for 10 years. And sometimes on really hard days, he said, ‘Hey, but my love, you know, even if there’s a storm happening above the storm, the sun’s always shining.’”

Meghan said that Harry’s perspective ‘only comes when you think about zooming out a little’.
“So I think when you really zoom out and think, ‘My gosh, how many things have we gone through that have felt hard?’ And then you still get through them.
“Or how many goals do you think you’re not gonna hit? And then you hit them and you supersede them.”
Meghan Markle MasterChef Australia backlash
The Q&A session comes hot on the heels of Meghan’s MasterChef Australia appearance.
The episode saw Prince Harry ringing his wife during the episode, causing her to gush about how ‘amazing and talented’ the cast of the series where.
“We wish you were here… I wish you could try this; these dishes are fantastic.”
Viewers were divided over the segment, with one person calling it ‘pretty cringe’.
“Planned they are so obvious,” complained someone else.
Others defended the star, with one typing: “Prince Harry and Meghan will always do whatever it takes to show up and support one another and it’s one of the reasons their marriage is so successful.”

“People are waking up or have spent all night mad over Meghan's MasterChef Australia appearance & writing hate stories, but Meghan couldn't care less,” another claimed.
Meghan, who stepped down as a senior working royal in 2020, recently celebrated her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, securing a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category.
“A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on ‘With Love, Meghan’ on @netflix,” she wrote.
