Gordon Ramsay has once again captivated the culinary world, this time with a seemingly simple yet indulgent breakfast: soft scrambled eggs atop sourdough toast, generously slathered with a rich bacon jam.

Shared on TikTok, the video has amassed over 1.6 million views, showcasing Ramsay's signature technique for creamy scrambled eggs and his decadent bacon jam recipe.

Ramsay's method for scrambled eggs is renowned for its simplicity and effectiveness. He begins by cracking cold eggs into a cold pan, adding a knob of butter.

The pan is then placed over high heat, and the eggs are stirred continuously with a rubber spatula. After 30 seconds, the pan is removed from the heat for 10 seconds, then returned to the heat. This process is repeated until the eggs are softly set.

For added creaminess, a teaspoon of crème fraîche is stirred in just before serving. The eggs are seasoned with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper and garnished with thinly sliced chives.

What makes this breakfast truly controversial, however, is the bacon jam. Ramsay slow-cooks bacon with caramelized onions, brown sugar, maple syrup, coffee, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes until it reaches a thick, jam-like consistency.
