Culinary kings and queens alike have been descending on Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant in Downton Disney to figure out whether or not the celebrity chef’s beef Wellington is worth its eye-watering price tag.
Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby, located atop the new Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney, Anaheim, was announced earlier this year, with The F Word champion stating at the time: “All eyes were on London in the 1960s, a full-on fantastic technicolour scene of people going out and having fun. We are bringing those cool vibes to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby.
“Stunning interiors, incredible food and great music, whether it’s date night or dinner with friends or family, The Carnaby is going to bring the very best of cool Britannia to Downtown Disney District.”

After months of planning, the boujee eatery officially opened its doors to customers on 13 July - and reviewers and guests alike have been heading down to deliver their verdict.
Reviewer Bethany Vinton (@bethanyvinton) is just one of the hundreds who have had their first Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby meal.
She specifically headed down to see whether the $73 Beef Wellington was worth the hype - and her answer may surprise you.
Food reviewer’s ‘insane’ Beef Wellington review
Gordon Ramsay’s Beef Wellington, made famous as the ultimate test of skill on Hell’s Kitchen and MasterChef, is served at the Downtown Disney outlet alongside a fresh herb salad, potato puree, and a red wine demi-glace sauce.
After remarking that the price point of Ramsay’s signature Wellington was ‘absolutely insane’, the Instagram user confessed: “I took one bite and I said ‘I would pay $73 for that every single time.”
She continued: “It was absolutely great. That beef was so unbelievably tender [and] cooked to perfection. I get why this is his thing because he does it really, really well.”
Despite her high praise, she did offer the Disney-based dish a criticism: it was a ‘little bit’ too salty.
However, she did say that overall, you got quite a hefty portion for $73.

Alongside Gordon Ramsay’s beef Wellington, AKA the ‘star of the show’, the content creator purchased a skillet of Parker rolls (warm brioche buns served with whipped butter) for $14, a plate of fish and chips for $33, and a sticky toffee pudding for dessert at $15.
In terms of drinks, Vinton recommended fellow diners try the clarified pineapple and jalapeño margarita ($21) and the tea and whisky cocktail for $22.
“Overall, I’m not going to lie: I wanted to hate this a lot more. I don’t understand what the discourse is online about Gordon Ramsay having a restaurant in Downtown Disney… But honestly, I’d come back and probably order than $73 Beef Wellington every single time,” the social media star added.
Fans have come out in droves to praise Vinton for the menu lowdown, with one Instagram user writing: “Love the honest review!!”
“The beef Wellington is worth it every time!!,” someone else replied.
A third joked: “Beef Wellington is perhaps my favorite dish , besides mugs of course. If it’s good I don’t mind paying. Can’t wait to try that.”
“The beef Wellington at Hells kitchen is amazing, so it must be the same here,” another typed.
