Some of your favourite fast-food institutions are really cranking up the heat for 2026, with a plethora of new mouthwatering dishes gracing menus across the States.
In the UK, McDonald’s launched a Secret Menu, featuring a Surf N’ Turf burger which has everyone talking, while a chain selling the ‘world’s best fries’ finally opened.
Stateside, it’s all about Burger King, with the burger brand introducing its first Whopper by You winner: the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper.
The latter has raised eyebrows with its divisive ingredient list, which includes mushrooms.

And if that wasn’t exciting enough, BK has revealed it’s rolling out another Whopper, with the testing process exclusively taking place in select markets, according to popular Instagram account, Snackolator.
The social media account, which boasts more than 728,000 followers, recently posted about the new Whopper, which is available for those living in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Portland, Oregon.

The new burger is called the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper, and is engineered as a soon-to-be breakfast menu staple.

Retailing at $7.99 (£5.93), the burger consists of a quarter-pound beef patty, an egg patty, a bacon slice, cheddar cheese sauce, and hash browns.
The breakfast dish is drizzled with hollandaise aioli to finish, with all components being sandwiched between a classic sesame seed bun.
Despite only being available in two states, fans are going wild for the item, with one Reddit user writing: "Is this real? I’ve been wanting this for years. There goes that healthy lifestyle 2026,”
“The Breakfast Burger from Carls Jr is exactly this and it is their best burger. If BK made this, it would instantly become my go-to BK order. Removing the bacon of course,” someone else remarked.

A third joked: “I'm turning green with envy or possibly gangrene. I need this to be complete.”
Another argued: “A tad overpriced but would smash.”
If a full-sized Whopper is too much for you, then People reports that the Bacon Cheddar Hash burger is available in a Jr. version, too ($4.79).
Moreover, the all-day beefy breakfast bun can be made into a meal, with hash browns instead of regular fries.

The outlet claims that hash browns, which are typically only available as a side during the early hours of the day, are an all-day addition.
It’s not currently known if or when the Bacon Cheddar Hash Whopper will expand outside of Raleigh and Portland.
However, if testing goes well, it’s possible you could see the cheesy wonder on your local Burger King’s menu sooner, rather than later.
The new Whipper comes after CEO Josh Kobza discussed the company’s multi-year ‘Reclaim the Flame’ profits push.

Speaking during Burger King’s third-quarter earnings call, Kobza said: “As I look forward over the rest of this year, we’re going to stick to the same things that we talked about at the beginning of the year.

“I think I laid out a couple of different focus areas. We said we wanted to focus on the Whopper and flame-grilling.
“We want to bring families back in the restaurants, and we wanted to have consistency in our value offerings through the year.”
The Burger King Whopper has been a menu stalwart since it was originally introduced by founder James McLamore in 1957.
While the tried-and-tested favourite is still available for purchase, the business has released special editions in the past, including a Halloween makeover, and the love-it-or-loathe-it Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper.
Social media users have been weighing in on their favourite version of The Whopper, with one typing: “I easily ate over 15 Ghost Pepper Whoppers and I am craving them even now and totally deserves a permanent spot.”
A second remarked: “I think the mexican street corn whopper takes the cake. Tortilla strips give it a great crunch. Maple bourbon was a little too sweet for my liking, but that is a positive for some people!”
“Can we just bring back the Angry Whopper please?” a third commented.
