Burger King launches 2025 advent calendar following sellout success last year

Fans are gearing up for the King’s festive return

Last December, Burger King fans were left hungry for more after the fast food chain’s advent calendar disappeared faster than a Whopper at lunchtime. The 2024 edition, which sold out in just one minute, became a viral sensation as eager customers scrambled to secure the limited-edition festive box.

It seems the fast food brand took notice, because this year, Burger King is bringing the beloved calendar back, and it’s promising to be even more tempting.

Burger King’s advent calendar was first introduced as a tongue-in-cheek twist on the Christmas tradition, offering fans not just edible treats, but a range of quirky and collectible goodies themed around the iconic burger chain. From scented candles to nostalgic trinkets, it quickly became a must-have for fans who couldn’t resist the combination of kitsch, creativity, and King-sized nostalgia.

Now, after that whirlwind sellout, the 2025 edition is officially on the way. Reported by Quartz, the new calendar will go on sale on 21 November and is priced at $19.54, a nod to the year the company was founded.

Packed with a dozen surprises worth over $100, Burger King promises that this year’s edition will deliver a nostalgic surprise while keeping the fun and value that made last year’s so popular.

Not to spoil the surprise entirely, but the 2025 calendar includes a JD the Dog Plushie, Inflatable Chair, Cini Mini Candles, Stout King Chia Seed Sprouter, Cookie Cutters & Cookie Tin, Coca-Cola Keychain, Fanny Pack, two Decorative Ornaments, BK Puzzle Cube, Retro Magnet, and a Burger King Board Game. Each item nods to Burger King’s rich pop culture legacy, adding a collectible flair that fans will want to get their hands on before they’re gone.

To avoid missing out this time, Burger King has introduced a sign-up system to help fans act fast when the calendars drop. Customers can text START to 251-251 to join the waitlist and receive reminders before launch day.

For those who prefer to be ready with a browser tab open, the official sale page is hosted on Shopify, ready to refresh as the date approaches.

Whichever way you prefer, you’ll need to be ready to jump on quick, as last year’s sell-out was quite the viral moment, and 2025’s version will undoubtedly go in a flash once again.

For anyone unlucky enough to miss out again, there’s some consolation in the form of other creative advent calendars hitting shelves this year. Red Bull is offering its first-ever advent calendar, complete with 24 cans of different flavours for $50 — ready to buy at retailers like Target, Walmart, a limited number of Circle Ks, Kroger, and Costco.

Whiskey lovers can turn to Flaviar’s 2025 edition, featuring 24 miniature bottles from seven countries for $270, ready to buy at the Flaviar website. And for those with a sweet tooth, Delysia Chocolatier’s $86 truffle calendar, available at its own online store, might just be the perfect seasonal fix.
