International football fans are being warned by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to honour liquid limits if carrying one cult condiment in their hand luggage amid the FIFA Men’s World Cup.
We’re just days into the football tournament, and we’ve already seen Brits upset by US food and drink prices, confusion over fans eating meals pitchside, and fans rallying to unban a national dish in the country.
England, who claimed a 4-2 victory over Croatia on Wednesday (17 June), are apparently being fuelled by a UK staple, while captain Harry Kane, who contributed to two of the goals, is likely snacking on eggs on toast before he hits the pitch, according to a former insider.
Between sampling tailgaiting culture and trying out fast-food institutions, such as Raising Cane’s, Waffle House - a favourite of Jelly Roll - and Buc-ee’s, travelling supporters are apparently becoming obsessed with a creamy American sauce.

"EUROPE WE NEED RANCH ASAP,” said one new sauce devotee.
A second claimed: “Every European that has come to the us for the first time for the World Cup has become obsessed with ranch.”
“Look, I got World Cup fever and I love all these people coming to the United States of America. A common theme is a love for ranch dressing,” someone else typed.
“If owned a restaurant in the EU I'd be asking myself. What the hell is this ranch dressing?”
Over the past few days, the official TSA X account has also shared various posts about the so-called ‘King of Condiments’.
On 12 June, agents reminded flyers that if their ‘carry-on checklist’ featured: ‘Ranch (3.4oz or less), snacks, and Ranch for the snacks’ then they were ‘good to go’.

“If you’re visiting for a very large sporting event & you happen to discover RANCH while you’re here… pls pack it in your CHECKED BAG on the way home,” another message shared via Instagram Threads read.
“OK please avoid chugging your ranch outside secruity the airlines will check it for you,” another dip-centric post warned.
The TSA has collated some of its hilarious condiment posts into a dedicated Instagram carousel, posting it alongside a caption which read: “One World. One Ranch.
“Who knew dip-lomacy could be achieved through addressing the obvious: ranch is the king of condiments. The world is slowly discovering ranch pairs perfectly with pizza, chicken wings, fries, onion rings, quesadillas, crackers, chips, vegetables, and the list just keeps growing.”
It continued: “Are you kicking around the idea of flying home with your favorite dip? If you’re traveling within the U.S., make sure to keep your carry-on sauces to 3.4oz or less and place any larger containers in your checked bags.
“Some heroes wear capes. Others bring ranch.”
Football fans and brand alike have shared their response to the TSA’s warning, with Heinz writing: “Does this apply for ketchup too or just ranch? (asking for a friend).”
“Another PSA: TABASCO Brand minis are approved for your carryon, in and out of the stadium,” typed Tabasco.
Meanwhile, Levi’s, which has gone viral for having its sponsorship sign at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium covered with a white sheet for the duration of the FIFA Men’s World Cup, wrote: “Tysm for this public service announcement… glad ranch didn’t get redacted.”

“Powdered ranch packets people!!!! Add to sour cream and it’s better than the bottled stuff,” a fan commented.
A second echoed on X: “Please, pass it along to everyone visiting America for the World Cup… You can buy Ranch Dressing Powder Mix! Easier to take home. Plus it tastes MUCH better than the shelf-stable stuff in a bottle!”
