Gordon Ramsay, fellow chefs, and fans alike have all been left shaking their heads after the culinary king was served up a bizarre omelette on a new episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
Just three weeks into the tenth season of *Kitchen Nightmares,* and we’ve already seen some shocking moments, including moments from the latest instalment based on Blue Island, Illinois.
The episode, filed in May 2025, saw the multi-Michelin-star chef heading to Love On The Blu - a ‘casual eatery’ which currently carries an abysmal 2.9-star rating on Yelp.
Floods of Kitchen Nightmares fans have taken to the review website to call out the owner, Valencia Love, whom some people have just discovered posted the $100,000 cash bond that facilitated convicted sex offender R. Kelly's release from a Cook County Jail in 2019.

Viewers were unhappy with the businesswoman’s conduct with staff and customers, with one Redditor writing: “This women should not be an owner of anything!! The way she treats her staff and her customers. AWFUL.”
Another said: “Valencia blames the staff so much.”
During Ramsay’s stint at Love On The Blu, he was served an interesting dish called ‘The Lamb Chop Omelette’.
However, it was clarified that despite its name, the dish was not an omelette, to which the Hell’s Kitchen favourite questioned: “It’s called an omelette, but it’s not an omelette? That looks very weird.”

Ramsay then showed the camera the dish, which appeared to be two lamb chops placed on top of runny fried eggs and a bed of spinach.
“There’s no colour on the lamb. It’s called an omelette,” the father-of-six said before handing his plate back to the waitress to find out if the chef had forgotten to spoon on some demi-glace.
While he tackled a plate of chicken and waffles, the waitress returned with his plate.
The demi-glace had been spooned into a ramekin, prompting Ramsay to say: “Oh, they forgot it.
“This is the $40 lamb chops,” he continued before trying a forkful of red meat.
However, after just a second, The F Word icon spat out the lamb, claiming: “That tastes weird.”

In the kitchen, Love was heard saying that Ramsay ‘wouldn’t know’ what good food tasted like because he lived in England.
“They don’t use seasoning,” she stated, much to the amusement of another member of staff.
A clip from the initial dish tasting has been shared via social media, and fans of the long-running reality TV series have had a lot to say.
“Ah yes, the multi Michelin star chef doesn't know seasoning because he was born in England,” one Instagram user wrote.
Next Level Chef competitor Christina Miros said: “If you don’t get those eggs away from those lamb chops.”
“Weirdest f*king omelette I’ve ever seen,” another commented.
A fourth typed: “Some people do not realize that they are being criticized by a professional chef @gordongram. Man, I know how to cook and I would never present to you a plate of food that look like it is dry like the Sahara Desert.”
Later, Ramsay met with Love and her staff.
He informed her that the lunch service ‘wasn’t that good’ and that $40 for an omelette was too expensive, especially when the so-called ‘omelette’ was actually just fried eggs.
In response, she told the chef that anyone who had an issue with the prices was not welcome at her establishment.
We won’t spoil anything else amid the heated argument, but the official synopsis for the Kitchen Nightmares episode reads: “Negative customer reviews, an unprofessional atmosphere, and sky-high prices have Love on the Blu on the brink of failure, while the owner’s hostile management style creates even more tension behind the scenes.

“When Gordon uncovers the root of the restaurant’s problems, he pushes the owner to confront the changes needed to save both her business and her team in the all-new ‘Love on the Blu’ episode of Kitchen Nightmares.”
Will Love succumb to Ramsay’s expertise and work to make her restaurant better?
