It's that time of year when all the biggest food brands start releasing their Christmas menus and coming up with all kinds of weird and wonderful 'festive' flavours.
We're talking Brussels sprouts ketchup, Christmas dinner pizzas, crème brûlée flavoured cashew nuts and white chocolate Wensleydale.
Crisps often get a festive shake-up, too, with Walkers bringing out a few new Christmas flavours this year, including its Sensations Honey Glazed Ham, Emmental Cheese and a Beef Wellington flavour which people have been left 'creeped' out by.

Discussing the flavour on Facebook, people seemed to have an issue with just how much the crisps actually taste like a Beef Wellington.
Leaving a very detailed review on the Very British Problems page, one explained they felt 'disconcerted' over the flavours in the crisps.
"I like beef wellington. And these beef wellington crisps really do taste like beef wellington. Does that make me happy? No – it makes me disconcerted. Allow me to explain," they began.
"I like beef crisps, chicken crisps, prawn cocktail crisps etc, not just for the taste, but because they don’t actually taste like those things.

"Crisp flavours are vague, they’re abstract. But the fact I can eat one of these beef wellington-flavoured crisps and somehow taste mushroom duxelles is, to me, a little creepy."

The poster explained they were particularly taken aback by the lack of mushroom in the ingredients list, despite being adamant that there's a strong, mushroom flavour in the snack.
They added: "The ingredients list dried tea leaves and rosemary extract, which might explain some of those deep, herby flavours… but mushrooms? How did they manage that?! There’s no mushroom in the ingredients. These crisps even have a subtle red wine gravy note as an aftertaste. Extraordinary."

Considering the crisps have delivered on their promise, the poster explained they couldn't exactly mark Walkers down, and ended up giving them a six out of five simply for 'being too good'.
In the comments, many people agreed, with one writing: "Hubbie was just saying yesterday how they couldn’t possibly have included the mushroom duxelles flavour…His flabber has been well and truly gasted!"
While another said: "Love this flavour, sadly they have all but vanished from the shops round me (possibly because I bought them all)."

And a third added: "They did something here with beef and truffle. Also never imagined i would taste a beef and truffle dish but I did and it creeped me out too lol."
Essentially, if you're a big beef wellington fan, these crisps are definitely for you.
