All the celebs that have been lucky enough to receive the famous 'Tom Cruise cake' at Christmas

Hollywood A-listers have already started to receive the most coveted gift of them all - the elusive Christmas cake that actor Tom Cruise sends out every year.

Referred to by Black Panther actress Angela Bassett as the TCCC (Tom Cruise Coconut Cake), this white chocolate gateau is said to be dense and delicious.

The bundt cake is made by Doan’s Bakery in California, costs $139.95 if purchased through Goldbelly, and is shipped out to Cruise’s friends, former collaborators, and other important people in his life.

Below are some of the celebrities who have admitted to receiving one of the coveted Christmas gifts, including Glen Powell, Henry Cavill, and Gayle King.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons

Cruise and Dunst go way back, with the actress appearing beside him as a child in 1994’s Interview with the Vampire.

"He gives me this cake every Christmas,” the Spider-Man star said on The Graham Norton Show in 2016.

“We call it the Cruise Cake. It's just this coconut cake. It's the best coconut cake I've ever had in my life.

While Bugonia actor Jesse Plemons isn’t exactly on the list, he does get to share it by default. He and Dunst married in July 2022.

Glen Powell

The Running Man star Glen Powell has really been taken under Cruise’s wings in recent years.

After the Hollywood pair appeared in Top Gun: Maverick together, Powell received a cake for the first time.

In an interview with Jennifer Hudson, the Texan revealed he’d previously hosted a ‘Cruise Cake Party’, inviting his friends over to have a bite of the sweet thing.

Hayley Attwell

In 2023, Cruise and Hayley Attwell starred together in the penultimate Mission: Impossible movie, Dead Reckoning - Part One.

Two years later, they reunited for Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

In the same year that their first collaboration came out, she shared a shot of the wrapped cake on her Instagram Stories, confirming she’d made the exclusive list.

Tom Hanks

The rich bundt cake makes its way to two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks every year.

During an appearance on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals, he called it ‘off-the-scale fantastic’, remarking it could be part of his ‘last meal’ line-up.

Elle and Dakota Fanning

Sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning get a California cake every year after Dakota appeared beside the icon in 2005’s War of the Worlds.

Elle previously told People that the Ethan Hunt favourite has ‘made it a point to kind of stay in’ her sister’s life, which she remarked as ‘so kind’.

“And he sends her a birthday gift every single year still,” she added.

Jon Hamm

Surprisingly, Jon Hamm admitted he was on the list for the coconut cake before starring alongside Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick.

He added he was ‘very proud’ to be a receiver.

Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin, who worked with Cruise on the Mission: Impossible franchise and on the musical Rock of Ages, has received the Woodland Hills cake in the past.

This year is no different, with the actor sharing a video of the cake box with his 2.6 million Instagram followers earlier this week.

“Ooooooooooooooo,” he captioned the clip.

Brooke Shields

The rumour is that once you make Cruise’s cake list, you’re set for life.

But according to The Blue Lagoon’s Brooke Shields, that’s not quite the case.

In 2023, she admitted that after a ‘good ten-year run’ she missed the delectable delight.

Mindy Kaling

The Office’s Mindy Kaling shared last December that she’d made the coconut cake Christmas list, sharing a photograph of it with her social media followers.

The A-list dessert sat on a gold plate, located inside cardboard box, presumably sent straight from the California bakery to the star’s doorstep.

Angela Bassett

Bassett has publicly gushed about her love for the tradition on programmes such as The Kelly Clarkson Show.

In 2018, Cruise actually told Bassett and TV host James Cordon that while he ‘loves’ sugar, he can’t eat it when he is training.

“So, I send it to everyone. I sent it to the stunt team."

Rosie O’Donnell

American talk show host Rosie O’Donnell has been on Cruise’s cake list for a long time.

Three years ago, she dedicated an Instagram post to the treat, writing: “My tommy sent me a coconut cake !! I love that guy.”

Jay Ellis

Freaky Tales and Running Point actor Jay Ellis admitted in 2023 that he froze his coveted Christmas gift from Cruise so that he could enjoy it on holiday with his family.

"It's always a surprise when you get it because you're so excited to get it — and you wanna make sure you're still on the gift list," he said on the Jennifer Hudson Show.

Cary Elwes

In 1990, Cary Elwes starred alongside Cruise in Days of Thunder.

But it wouldn’t be until 2022 that he’d get his own bundt cake.

In an interview with People, he said: “That was my last guilty pleasure.

"It was coconut from his favorite bakery. Normally I don't eat cake, but when it comes from Tom, it's mission impossible not to eat it.”

Miles Teller

Eternity actor Miles Teller is another one of Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick co-stars who received the Christmas prezzie.

"The coconut cake is very good. I have one in my fridge right now," he said after making the list.

Sofia Vergara

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara appears to be a big fan of the Tom Cruise Cake, having previously posted a photograph of her posing beside it.

Cobie Smulders

Cruise’s Jack Reacher: Never Go Back co-star, Canadian actress Cobie Smulders confessed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2019 that the famous sweet treat was ‘unbelievable’.

“I receive it, and hopefully, maybe if I talk about it on television I will for sure receive it. But it's so good,” she added.

Danny Ramirez

Marvel star Danny Ramirez, who worked with Cruise on the set of Top Gun: Maverick, received a Doan’s Bakery goody in the post last year.

Renee Zellweger

Renee Zellweger, who worked with Cruise on the 1996 rom-com Jerry Maguire, is another famous white chocolate coconut bundt cake recipient.

She confirmed on The Graham Norton Show that she’d even had the cake frozen so that she could enjoy it in Mexico on Christmas Day.

Henry Cavill

Former Superman and Witcher actor Henry Cavill once revealed he ignored Cruise’s famous Christmas cake, believing it was ‘made of healthy stuff’.

“This is Christmas. I don’t do healthy at Christmas,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“A friend came by my house, saw the cake sitting there and said, ‘What’s that?’ I said ‘Oh, that a cake from Tom Cruise.’ And they said, ‘I’m sorry, say that again?’ I said, ‘That’s a cake from Tom Cruise.’

“And they went ‘Well why aren’t you eating it?’ And I said ‘Because it’s probably healthy.’ And they went, ‘Cut it open.’ Cut it open, it is the most luxurious, unhealthy coconut cake. And so I then ate the whole thing.”

Jimmy Fallon

Despite not having a sweet tooth, TV host Jimmy Fallon is apparently willing to make an exception for the coconut dream dessert.

When asked if the cake is really worth the hype, Fallon quipped: “It's unbelievable.”

Gayle King

CBS news anchor Gayle King took to Instagram on December 13 2024, to reveal that the Magnolia actor had sent her one of the infamous cakes.

“Tom Cruise (CLEARLY) knows the way to my heart is anything with icing ! That’s why when theeeee cake is delivered I start drooling,” she commented.

“Sharing is caring and I knew colleagues at @cbsmornings would appreciate tom as much as I do … Thanks (again) Tom !!!!"

Barbara Walter

In 2013, journalist Barbara Walter once ate her TCCC live on The View.

She also revealed that her co-hosts at the time, including Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, and Sherri Shepherd, were each sent a cake.
