Some people age with such grace that it’s hard to imagine they’re ageing at all.
Tom Cruise is still hanging off the sides of planes in his 60s and looking full of vigour while he does it, Brad Pitt can still believably pilot a Formula 1 car, Julianne Moore is still knocking ‘em dead every time she leaves the house, and Halle Berry could easily be mistaken for being 15 years younger than she is.
Such fine ageing isn’t exclusive to the acting world either, with legendary fashion designed Vera Wang still looking remarkably youthful as she celebrates her 76th birthday.

While there are plenty of tricks of the trade when it comes to fighting the signs of ageing, Vera Wang’s surprisingly down-to-Earth lifestyle belies her immense success and might give hope to those of us who aren’t into the idea of surgical rejuvenations.
Wang’s also forthcoming with how she does it, although she doesn’t profess to have landed upon any particularly groundbreaking lotions or potions that will guarantee looking several years younger than you ought to.
She sums it all up as ‘work, sleep, a vodka cocktail, not much sun’.
It’s fair to say she puts the hard yards in at the gym, too. Along with being remarkably lean, she’s got some muscle definition that gym bunnies 50 years younger could aspire to.
Considering that most people’s 70s are defined by mobility issues, muscle degradation, and slow metabolisms that bring their calorie needs right down, she’s done an incredible job of keeping herself in battle-ready condition.
Whilst speaking with Page Six in October 2023, she said she even regularly treats herself to fast food and tends to cycle between her preferences ever few weeks.
She’s admitted to occasionally going to McDonald’s ‘every day’, and she’s a big fan of ‘a jelly donut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream’ at Dunkin’ Donuts.
While she was a dedicated Diet Coke fan, she said she made a wise switch to drinking more water in her late 60s. Giving up the Diet Coke was the ‘hardest thing [she] ever gave up’.
Along with her penchant for a treat, she also said: “"I like sashimi with brown rice and vegetables, Chinese steamed broccoli with chicken and rice, or the artichoke salad or fish from Sant Ambroeus.”

All of that, she said, is underpinned by a work ethic to which she credits her ongoing vigour.
"Basically, I’ve worked my whole life, so it’s really been about work,” she said.
“I think work keeps you young and stimulated. I work very long hours, I’ve raised two daughters. I think keeping busy is the best antidote [for] good health."
Considering how well Vera Wang is weathering the years, maybe she’s onto something.
