John Torode revealed how he began therapy after being fired from MasterChef amid concerning accusations.
His sacking came days after his former co-presenter Gregg Wallace had been fired from the BBC cooking show for alleged sexual harassment.
The Australian chef was let go after a claim of racist language was levied against him, with Torode saying he had 'no recollection' of it.
An independent investigation by law firm Lewis Silkin went on to uphold the allegation that the presenter had used 'an extremely offensive racist term' at work.

At the time, Torode said: "The allegation is that I did so sometime in 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards.”
He said on Instagram: “I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I’ve always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment.”
After the storm of his departure calmed down, Torode revealed he has been to therapy over it all.

According to The Times, Torode wrote his Substack newsletter A View from The Fridge, that the therapy has been used to cope with the 'unexpected and brutal life change' of being fired five months ago.
He wrote: "Therapy over the past few months has entitled me to no longer ‘be brave’ but instead be real.
"Fear is the instinct that keeps us alive, but should grief and fear meet each other I wonder how much damage it can do when we decide to shut it away, shut it down and not let it flow as it should."

Torode went on to say that there has been a 'tumultuous physical, illogical and physiological state of mind' but things are getting easier to talk about.
“Life has changed for ever for me and for those close to me. There is no sympathy searching here, just honesty,” he said.
Despite his sacking, he is still working on TV on the ITV show he presents with his wife Lisa Faulkner.
He’s also got a new series of John and Lisa's Christmas Kitchen on the telly, which kicked off at the end of November.
