Jeremy Clarkson is potentially looking to expand his hospitality empire with a second pub, but British fans may be forced to travel outside of the UK for a pint or two.
In August 2024, the former Top Gear presenter opened The Farmer’s Dog pub—a Cotswolds establishment famed for championing local produce, good wine, and better beer from Hawkstone Brewery.
Over the years, fans have defended the eatery for its prices, its decision to leave certain items, such as coffee, off the menu, and even stood by the business when animal activists decided to ‘roast’ a fake dog on its doorstep.
And now devoted followers of Clarkson and the Farmer’s Dog brand may be pleased to hear that there could be a second institution in the near future… just not in Britain.

Appearing at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham on Monday (5 October), the 66-year-old revealed he was seriously considering adding to his business portfolio by launching his first pub abroad.
“I probably won’t. But I’m dreaming of it”
He claimed this was because he and other company owners, including farmers, were being ‘attacked’ from every angle by Labour tax policies, international conflict, and general rising costs, as per The Mirror.
When asked if he’d open an establishment in Shadow Environment Secretary Victoria Atkins’s constituency, Louth and Horncastle, in Lincolnshire, he said: “It’s funny you should say that. I’m looking quite hard into the possibility of opening another pub.
“But I can give you all a piece of information right now, it’s not going to be in the UK.”

He continued, asking why ‘anybody would set up a business in this country right now’.
“You go and find a country where you go, ‘That’s a good one, that will employ people and that will be good for farming and what have you’. We’ll see if we can do it abroad somewhere.”
“I probably won’t. But I’m dreaming of it.”
Farming has become ‘relentless’ in Britain, says Clarkson
Appearing alongside land agent and fellow Clarkson’s Farm star Charlie Ireland, the father of three used the opportunity to discuss how ‘relentless’ farming in the United Kingdom had become.
“It’s terrible, is the only way of describing it. We worked really hard all year and we ended up with, I think I’m right in saying, three ounces of hen food.

“It was an absolute disaster on the farming side but, I mean, luckily we’ve got other projects going on now. But the farming is very, very difficult – very, very difficult at the moment.”
He continued, claiming how ‘fortunate’ he was to have oher income streams, including his newspaper columns and his pub.
Jeremy Clarkson cancer diagnosis
Clarkson’s confession comes amid his ‘aggressive’ cancer diagnosis, revealed during the most recent season of his reality show.
“We started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with cancer. We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good,” he said.

Clarkson was later seen in a hospital bed, telling the camera that some of his treatment had gone ‘awry’, causing medics to monitor him ‘for a little while’.
“What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six and if it isn’t I won’t. Take care everyone,” he lamented.
At the National Television Awards, Clarkson told fans he was forced to miss the harvest because of his illness.
Upon picking up the inaugural Reality Docuseries prize, the icon said: “I had a heart thing and a bit of cancer, but we live in a time when doctors can fix things very easily.
“It was annoying rather than emotional - I missed a lot of the harvest, which I love.
