Jeremy Clarkson has opened up about the unusual dilemma at his countryside pub, with certain items going missing after a busy service.

The former Top Gear presenter, 66, launched The Farmer's Dog in the Cotswolds back in 2024, and despite a few teething issues, it has quickly become a hit among customers and critics alike.

But Clarkson has now revealed a new headache he's now facing as landlord of the popular boozer: an eye-watering amount of theft.

In the new season of Clarkson's Farm, the TV star explained that certain items had developed a habit of disappearing, with some customers seemingly leaving with more than just a full stomach.

While the pub is losing all sorts of stock, Clarkson said one figure that stood out was the shocking 400 pint glasses that went missing each week.

In the opening episode of the fifth season, premiering on Prime Video on 3 June, the Diddly Squat Farm owner also listed light bulbs, cooking oil, and urinal traps as some of the strange items that were being picked up by customers.

"Just last night, somebody stole £200 worth of cooking oil - and that's not the maddest thing that gets nicked from here," he shared.

In a clip from the new season seen by The Independent, the presenter explained that every day, someone came in and stole a lightbulb from the pub toilets.

Not only that, but urinal traps - the curved pipe at the bottom of a urinal that holds a liquid seal to block unpleasant odours - were also going missing from the men's room.

"We've had to screw these down to stop them being nicked," he told the Clarkson's Farm crew. "Who steals a urinal trap?"

There's never a dull moment for Jezza, his girlfriend Lisa Hogan, 51, and farmhand Kaleb Cooper, 27, on Diddly Squat farm.

Elsewhere in the upcoming season, viewers will see Clarkson and co dealing with all sorts of dilemmas, from managing money woes to figuring out new agricultural tech on the farm.

But most notably, the show is set to take an intimate look into Clarkson's recent health scare.

In a clip from the season five trailer, the beloved broadcaster is seen hooked up to an electrocardiogram (ECG) in hospital after suffering from a 'tightness in his chest'.

The father-of-three has claimed, after the frightening emergency hospital visit, that he had been just 'days from death', with two vital arteries in his heart occluded.

In a trailer for the upcoming season of the beloved series, Clarkson tells Cooper: "You've got three arteries that feed your heart to keep it pumping. My heart wasn't getting any blood."

Discussing the health scare on an episode of Heart Breakfast, the presenter has assured fans that he is now doing 'fine'.
