Emily Atack hires McDonald's to cater 'perfect' intimate wedding
Actress Emily Atack enlisted McDonald’s to help make her wedding ceremony ‘absolutely perfect’ as she tied the knot with her partner of three years, Dr Alistair Garner.
The star of Disney+’s Rivals, 36, said ‘I do’ to the nuclear physicist after they reconnected as adults following a childhood acquaintance.
She has previously stated that she and Garner met because he is the son of her aunt’s husband from a previous marriage, as per an interview with The Guardian.
Atack, who welcomed son Barney in 2024 with the scientist, wrote via Instagram: “Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect.

“I can’t believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don’t we @dralistairgarner.”
In official photographs, Atack could be seen holding a glass of white wine and posing beside what appeared to be salad bowls.
She wore a gown designed by Josephine Scott in collaboration with Evelie Bridal.
The brand revealed via Instagram that The Inbetweeners favourite had a ‘clear vision’ for her bridal dress, looking for something ‘contemporary and unexpected’.
“Working with Emily and Caroline was incredibly special. JULIETTE already has such a distinctive silhouette, and together we were able to make thoughtful changes that gave the gown a very personal feel for Emily,” said Avenue CEO Josephine Parkhill.
Celebrities have come out in droves to congratulate the happy couple, with Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison writing: “Congratulations you two this is beautiful.”
“Congratulations! Wishing you love laughter and happiness,” wrote Vanessa Feltz, whilst Denise Welch commented: “How lovely!!! So happy for you.”

The mother of one shared various snapshots from her wedding day via her Instagram Stories, including one of a branded McDonald’s van serving up special wedding-ready McFlurries.
“We won’t be getting over this in a flurry @mcdonaldsuk,” she commented on the image, which also featured a sign reading ‘Mr and Mrs Garner’.
According to the signage, it appeared as if Oreo, Smarties, Strawberry Cornetto, and Hot Honey McFlurries were all served to party guests.
The latter recently debuted as part of the brand’s midsummer promotion, featuring the Big Arch with Bacon, Hot Honey McCrispy, and Mozzarella Dippers.
Meanwhile, the Cornetto McFlurry returned to menus for the first time since 2009. It features strawberry sauce paired with crispy chunks of the iconic Cornetto cone wafer.
McDonald’s customers can also pick up a chocolate version, with chocolate chunks, chocolate sauce, and crispy wafer chunks.
Emily Atack blamed weight loss on sepsis after pregnancy
Earlier this year, Atack was subjected to weight loss jab claims, which she later declared was due to suffering from sepsis after giving birth to her son.
“I was trolled for being enormous when I was pregnant and I’m now trolled for having lost weight,” she told Grazia magazine.
“My body holds all my trauma as well as my happiness and joy. I went through a very difficult pregnancy. I was very ill after the birth. I had sepsis, I couldn’t leave the house for weeks. It was awful.”
Remarking on the so-called ‘skinny jab’ accusations, she continued: “I’m just asking for people for a little bit of patience and understanding at such a complex thing. Women’s bodies change all the time. I am so done with defending it.”
