Starbucks has launched an adorable, limited-time merchandise collaboration with Miffy, featuring plush toys, must-have mugs, and more - here’s how you can get your mitts on the bits.
Dutch artist Duck Bruna brought Miffy, whose original Dutch name is Nijntje, to life back in 1955, and over 70 years later, the cute white rabbit has returned as the star of the show at Starbucks this May.
Following hot on the heels of successful coffeehouse collaborations in Singapore and Asia Pacific, the Miffy x Starbucks collection officially went live in the United States and Canada on Tuesday (19 May).
“With Miffy, we really felt a connection through her curiosity and gentle nature. I think that’s what people love about her,” said collab lead Krystn Fuerst via a press release.

“We wanted her character to come alive through our signature drinkware to bring something new to Miffy fans and Starbucks customers.”
The exclusive capsule, blending style with practicality, features Miffy’s minimalistic likeness on a 14-ounce ceramic mug, alongside a stripy, soft mint green reusable water bottle; a 24-ounce cold cup topped with a Miffy straw charm, and a stainless steel, 26-ounce version that can transport The Emily Devil Wears Prada 2 drink on-the-go.
Hot drinks can also be carried out in the Miffy x Starbucks stainless steel tumbler.
The in-store items are complemented by online exclusives like the large Miffy plush, which Starbucks claims is ‘perfect for cuddling’.
There’s also a charming nylon tote and a coordinating zippered pouch to purchase from Shop.Starbucks.com.
“Miffy is multigenerational,” Fuerst claimed. “People enjoy her retro charm whether they grew up with her or are finding her now.”
According to Marja Kerkhof, who oversees the Miffy brand worldwide for Mercis bv, the collection has been specifically designed to ‘embody the whimsy’ that fans associate with the company.
“Both Miffy and Starbucks are hoping to be a bright spot in your day. Whether it’s through Miffy’s friendly face and positive personality, or someone’s name on their Starbucks cup, this collaboration is another chance to create connection.”

The collection is here for a good time, rather than a long time. So, if you’re hoping to score big, you may want to head down to your local participating Starbucks coffeehouse sooner, rather than later.
If not, you could miss out on the Miffy x Starbucks collection in the same way that thousands of others did when the Bearista launched last year.
The viral bear-shaped glass cups featured a green beanie hat, a straw in signature brand colours, and saw people allegedly lining up outside their local store from 4am to get their own.
Starbucks issued an apology after they flew off the shelves, claiming that the excitement for the merchandise had ‘exceeded’ expectations.
Currently, US-based customers can sip on a so-called ‘instant mood booster’ known as the Tropical Butterfly Refresher.
The customisable beverage featured passionfruit and creamy guava flavours, mango-pineapple flavoured pearls and butterfly pea flower to give it a brilliant indigo hue.
Other new items include the Horchata Frappuccino, Mexican-style Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso, and the Unicorn Cake Pop.
