It's been nearly a decade since the Snack Wrap was removed from McDonald's menus in the US, and fans haven't stopped lamenting its removal in the many years since. Interestingly, the tasty little wraps are still on the menu in the UK, which perhaps adds some salt in the wound of our neighbours across the pond.
However, the fast-food chain posted on X on April 15, 2025 with a cryptic message teasing the date of the Snack Wrap's return, leading McDonald's-lovers to celebrate in the comments while speculating the month of its re-addition to the menu.
McDonald's post simply read "snack wraps 0x.14.2025", suggesting the popular item would be back on the 14th of an unannounced month this year.

The Snack Wrap was first introduced to the McDonald’s menu in 2006, consisting of either grilled or crispy chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese, and ranch or honey mustard dressing inside a tortilla. The item, which was intended to appeal to customers wanting a healthier snack to eat on the go, was so popular when it launched that it was credited with boosting the chain’s sales - but ten years later, it was gone.
"A lot of people who eat at restaurants aren't interested in health and wellness," Edward Jones analyst Jack Russo told Bloomberg in 2016. "You've got to give the people what they want."

But that wasn't the only reason why the beloved Snack Wrap was axed - they were also a massive pain in the backside for restaurant workers, according to Business Insider. Apparently they took far too long to make - from steaming the tortillas to cutting the chicken and parcelling them all up in the little cardboard boxes - and McDonald's franchisees complained that they were too inefficient and were damaging their service times.

According to the Mail Online, McDonald's US President Joe Erlinger announced on Good Morning America last year that the Snack Wrap would be coming back in 2025, but wasn't able to give a time frame.
And we're still none the wiser. Plenty of X users have taken guesses, but some of them have already been proven to be wrong.
“05.15.2025??” one X user questioned - sadly incorrect, as they're still not on the menu.
Another wrote: “I'm betting on June.”
With a few weeks to go until June 15, that particular fan could be made very happy indeed.
"Can’t wait!! My mouth is already watering," another buzzing fan wrote.
"2025 is going to be alright," another declared.
