McDonald’s has finally reintroduced the Snack Wrap to its US menu.
Fans have been clamouring for their return for much of the past decade, and this month (July 2025) they finally made their way back under the golden arches.
The Snack Wrap features McCrispy Strips, lettuce, shredded cheese, and either a Spicy or Ranch sauce all wrapped up in a soft tortilla.
While the Snack Wrap’s return is largely a big success for McDonald’s, not only in terms of customers flocking to stores to get their hands on them but also with the social media chatter they’ve inspired, not everyone has been pleased with the comeback.

Back in the day, the Snack Wrap featured Chicken Selects, which tend to be a bit meatier than McCrispy Strips, and fans have already voiced their dissatisfaction over that change. UK customers, who haven’t had to deal with a Snack Wrap absence, can still enjoy them with Chicken Selects.
Unfortunately for one Redditor, their much-anticipated reacquaintance ended with a pretty unsavoury result.
“Went out today specifically to try the Snack Wraps and was met with the horrible fate of the chicken just being completely uncooked in all of the wraps we ordered,” they said. “Honestly no clue how, so terribly disappointed!! How has everyone that’s received them cooked liked them…?”
They shared an image too, and the chicken inside does indeed look completely raw.
“This is the craziest one I’ve seen,” said one comment. “That’s just completely raw.”
“They cooked that chicken with a hand dryer in the bathroom, quipped another.”
Some were quick to consider the health implications: “Uh, ya, uncooked, even undercooked poultry is a serious health hazard. As long as you have the proof - I would make sure this is communicated up the chain to corporate or at least whoever is in charge of that franchise's location.”

“Old Chicken Selects fried for 7 min and were thin enough that this would be extremely rare to happen,” said another. “I dunno, they should have preset timers on the fryers for specific items so unless they removed those or if this was pulled early, it shouldn't have happened.”
Responding to comments suggesting McDonald’s sends food to its stores pre-cooked, a few helpful users were on hand to set the record straight.
“Nothing comes pre-cooked,” said one user. “The chicken comes partially cooked, but still raw on the inside. Most fried chicken is double-fried like this because it makes it crispier.”
