KFC has created 'cereal' to be served with gravy
Sick of sweetness first thing in the morning but don't want a fry-up?
One of the nation's beloved chicken brands has joined forces with a cereal company to bring you a breakfast with a difference.
Yes, that is gravy they're pouring over the top of the 'cereal' too, not chocolate milk.
If you're the sort of person who can never have enough gravy, and looks forward to getting chicken and chips on the way home more than the actual night out, this is the creation for you.

They've dubbed this, erm, creative new combination 'KFCereal', and the chain says it's 'a crunchy, savoury Kentucky Fried Chicken flavoured cereal inspired by the brand’s iconic 11 herbs and spices.'
Made in collaboration with Surreal, you might have seen for their low sugar and high protein recipes before.
They're calling this a 'finger lickin' combo, but you're better off using a spoon for this for sure.
It's being released just in time for Freshers Week, although we're not entirely sure a student with a raging hangover would stomach chicken and gravy first thing in the morning (or after midday, whenever they wake up).
Who knows, maybe it'll be the perfect icebreaker to meet your new housemates in the shared kitchen!
That said, you might not want to be known as the chicken cereal person who has gravy for breakfast in your first week either.
If it's tickling your tastebuds though, KFCereal will be available exclusively via Surreal’s webshop from 22nd September, while stocks last.
Elspeth Allen, Brand Manager from KFC said: “Our 11 herbs and spices have been doing a pretty good job on chicken, so we thought we’d see what they could do for breakfast. We wanted to take something people know and love and give it the KFC treatment. And what better way to do that than with a bowl of cereal and a pot of our iconic Gravy?”
They add that this is 'a breakfast made for KFC superfans, cereal adventurers and anyone feeling brave enough to swap their milk for Gravy.'
As for the damage to your bank balance, a box will set you back £6.00 including shipping, while stocks last.
In addition to the famous 11 herbs and spices, this cereal has one gramme of sugar, and 19 grammes of protein.
Ideal if you're sick of scoffing down eggs for breakfast to hit those protein goals, go for the chicken flavour instead.
This isn't their first foray into blending breakfast foods with chicken, though.
Back in 2019, in places such as Singapore, KFC served up crispy fried chicken with a crunchy cereal flavour coating on it.
While it didn't reach our shores in the UK or the US, this might finally be a chance for fans here to try that flavour combo.

Just don't go pouring gravy over any old cereal though to start you day, as we wouldn't think that goes well with cornflakes.
