Burger King has launched a reimagined version of a fan-favourite, limited-time burger inspired by a signature Gordon Ramsay dish.
2026 has been busy for the fast-food titan: unveiling changes to its Whopper for the first time in almost a decade, trolling the McDonald’s CEO with a food taste test, and debuting a mouthwatering breakfast item in select US cities.
From this week, British fans have the opportunity to sample a brand-new burger and loaded fries combo that Burger Kingpromises will ‘knock sub-par roast potatoes out of the park’.
The star of the show, which builds on the premium Wagyu beef burger which debuted last year, is available to purchase now for an extremely exclusive time - here’s everything you need to know.
What is Wagyu beef?

Wagyu beef, a premium offering that comes from cattle native to Japan, is famed for its melt-in-the-mouth texture, enhanced tenderness, and extraordinary marbling.
The beloved protein can often cost an eye-watering amount, but Burger King is making Wagyu more accessible by breeding cattle with British dairy cows.
“While Wagyu is renowned for its Japanese heritage, this burger is distinctly British by crossing Wagyu cattle with British dairy cows, sourced from grass and forage-based herds across 700 UK farms,” a spokesperson explained.
Burger King debuts new British Wagyu beef burger
Following last year’s Wagyu burger, which celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay called ‘amazing’, Burger King has launched the so-called 'tastiest burger ever': Wagyu Wellington.
Inspired by the ‘indulgence’ of a classic beef wellington ‘without all the faff’ the menu item features a flame-grilled, 100 percent British Wagyu beef patty and creamy porcini mushroom sauce.

You’ll also find a slice of smoky bacon, a handful of peppery rocket, caramelised onions and crispy onions sandwiched between the brioche bun.
The limited-edition item arrived on 24 March as part of BK’s ‘Gourmet Kings’ menu and has already got social media users foaming at the mouth.
“Now we're talking,” typed one eager Instagram fan. Over on Facebook, another fan typed: “Looks great!”
The Wagyu Wellington Burger starts from £11.29 and will be available in-store and across delivery platforms.
A discount promotion is also running on Just Eat for orders over £20.
More menu items added for March
If you don’t fnacy the upgrade, then you wil be pleased to know that the original Wagyu burger is back on Burger King menus.
The Wagu consists of the same seasoned 100 percent British flame-grilled Wagyu beef patty, and is topped with sweet caramelised onions, tart pink pickled onions and crispy onions.

Peppery rocket and creamy caramelised onion also feature inside the soft, seeded brioche bun.
The Wagyu is priced at £10.99, while medium and large meals come in at £13.49 and £14.69, respectively.
Joining the line-up are £4.99 Truffle Loaded King Fries; a drizzle of truffle sauce, and a sprinkling of crispy onions atop golden, fluffy fried chips.
