Burger King has made a major change to its signature Whopper burger for the first time in almost a decade, following customer feedback.
Business is booming for Burger King this year, with the first Whopper by You winner being introduced alongside a breakfast edition of the beloved burger going live in January.
As well as the alternatives, the classic, juicy Whopper remains on the menu - but there’s a twist.
As per Delish, the fast-food favourite has undergone a taste overhaul for the first time in almost 10 years.

The first change is that instead of being handed to you in a paper bag, the Whopper will now come in a box, making it easier to transport.
Its packaging will also ensure that it ‘makes it to guests exactly the way it left the kitchen’.

Secondly, the Burger King burger features a ‘more premium, better tasting bun’ and finally, the item will be enhanced with higher-quality mayonnaise than previously.
It will also come ‘stacked tall with freshly cut onions and tomatoes, crisp lettuce, tangy pickles’.
The good news though is that the 100 percent flame-grilled beef burger is remaining the same.
As per the industry titan, the changes are set to offer a ‘higher-quality Whopper experience’.
“Over the past several years, we’ve focused on strengthening our operations and modernising our restaurants to build a more consistent foundation across the system,” Tom Curtis, President of Burger King U.S. & Canada, said in a statement.

“With that work well underway, we’re now in a position to thoughtfully elevate our core menu. The Whopper is an icon, so we didn’t set out to reinvent it. Instead, we elevated it based on direct Guest feedback.”
The reinvented Whopper comes ahead of the US-based release of the McDonald’s Big Arch.
Dubbed McDonald’s ‘best ever’ burger, the item stuffs two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of cheese, onions, pickles, lettuce and a tangy sauce between a fluffy sesame and poppy seed bun.
The Big Arch is already beloved in the United Kingdom and Canada, and now US denizens can get their mitts on it from Tuesday (3 March).
On the launch, Jill McDonald, the chain’s global chief restaurant experience officer stated: “We began to pilot Big Arch about a year and a half ago, and it’s shown strong traction across several markets.

“Customers are responding to this more satisfying burger that meets demand for something heartier while still feeling distinctly McDonald’s.”
Another exciting fast-food announcement is that Dairy Queen is giving away free soft serve cones on the first day of spring.
On Thursday 19 March, customers can visit non-mall Dairy Queen locations and pick up a free small vanilla cone, no purchase necessary.
At mall locations, customers need to make a purchase to redeem the single-use offer.
The deal is valid all day at participating locations in the states while supplies last.
