The Pirates of the Caribbean series was spawned by a theme park ride at Disneyland, and now it’s coming full circle with a Pirates-themed pub opening at the Disney World Resort, Florida on 29 August 2025.
The Beak and Barrel was first announced back in May, and now Disney has unveiled more details about what to expect at the new theme park pub.
Caribbean-inspired beverages will be joined by a series of fishy dishes, and there’ll be plenty of merchandise for sale too.
One exciting option from the drinks menu is The Treasure Trove, described as a ‘mysterious Ube, Lemon, and Coconut Concoction served with a Vanilla Cake Plank, Chocolate Cannonball, and Golden Caramel Popcorn’.

There will also be seven spirit-based drinks to choose from, along with a hefty selection of beers and wine. You can look forward to picking from the the Salty Seas mARRRgarita, Barrels Ablaze, the Hibisbus Rum Punch Royale, Port of Call, Lit Fuse, Plunderer’s Punch and Siren’s Whisper, all of which sound both delicious and appropriately pirate-y.
When it comes to grub, there are plenty of hearty options on the menu. For $20 you can avail yourself of Island Provisions, which includes ‘Plantain Chips, Blue Corn Tortillas, and Toasted Flatbread served with Mango Chutney, Garlic Chimichurri, Spiced Guava, and Zesty Culantro Cream Dips’.
For fans of the series’ most fearsome sea monster, there’s Kraken’s Catch for $18, which comes with ‘Octopus Tentacles marinated in Lemon and Lime Juice with Olives, Bell Peppers, Avocado, and Piquillo Pepper-Almond Foam’.

It wouldn’t be a Disneyland amenity without some themed entertainments. The pub, established by Captain Merry Goldwyn and looked after by her parrot pal Rummy, is described as ‘a trove of stories, treasures and magical mysteries… all waiting to be discovered’.
Set on the Caribbean island of Tortuga – a real-world pirate haven in the 1600s and a major location in the films – The Beak and Barrel will be a thrumming hub of activity packed with singalongs, storytelling and more ‘enchanting surprises’ to look forward to.
It’s highly recommended that visitors book ahead, with parties being limited to a 45-minute visit to help manage demand.

Disney fans have been chatting away about the upcoming opening, with both excitement and a little cynicism getting served up.
“I'm excited to eventually go, but this one plate, Kraken’s Catch, stuck out to me as a little overambitious for a pirate themed tavern in the Magic Kingdom,” said one Reddit user.
They added: “I can't wait to have a couple rum cocktails and cold octopus tentacles with olives before heading back out into 95 degree heat and hopping on Thunder Mountain. I'm sure my stomach will feel amazing the rest of the day!”

Reservations open on 14 August 2025, so be sure to get booked if you’ll be in the Magic Kingdom later this summer.
