NACHO has allegedly replaced TACO as Wall Street’s unofficial nickname for US President Donald Trump amid the Iran war, according to an American columnist.
Conflict began in the Middle East on 28 February with the United States and Israel’s joint airstrikes on Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Despite a tentative casefire agreement between the US and Iran, both sides have reported fresh exchanges amid the on-and-off blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
The waterway, responsible for transporting more than 20 percent of the world’s oil, is currently controlled by Iran.

However, the US wants to restrict Tehran's ability to profit from oil exports in an attempt to put pressure on the country, as per the BBC.
On Monday (4 May), 79-year-old Trump announced his new operation, dubbed ‘Project Freedom’, to help assist stuck ships hoping to travel through the Strait.

The politician has since warned that if Iran attacks any US vessels guiding ships through the waterway, then the nation would be ‘blown off the face of the earth’.
The US’ failure to negotiate the permanent re-opening of the Hormuz Strait has allegedly caused financial experts to bestow a new nickname on the President.
“We thought we were getting a TACO, ‘Trump Always Chickens Out’,” recently wrote Bloomberg energy and commodities columnist Javier Blas.
“But so far we are getting a NACHO,” he continued, explaining that the acronym stands for ‘Not A Chance Hormuz Opens’.
Blas added to his 386,000 X followers that he had been informed of Trump’s moniker alteration by a financial trader.
The Independent wrote that the NACHO name reflected the public’s frustration with the ongoing Strait of Hormuz blockade, resulting in higher gas prices and a potential CO2 shortage in the UK.
It also indicates that denizens aren’t convinced that the Republican administration will be able to secure a deal with Iran to allow ships carrying crucial supplies to pass through the Strait, the publication stated.

Blas’ X post has garnered hundreds of comments, with one X user questioning if NACHO should actually be replaced with FAJITAS.
They reasoned this would represent Trump’s ‘failure at jostling Iran towards a settlement’.
“Love it!” the expert said. “Remind me never play Scrabble against you.”
Another said: “It’s a paradox. We got both a TACO and a NACHO. You can call it the whole enchilada. There's only so much one can stomach, and, eventually, we'll need to take a massive dump.”
A third said that NACHO means ‘Dancing’ in India, remarking: “That's exactly what oil prices are doing right now.”

Trump made headlines last week when he announced he would cancel tariffs on UK whisky in honour of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
In a Truth Social post, the father-of-five insisted that the royal couple had managed to convince him to lift the 10 percent import levy during their state visit.

“In Honor of the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, who have just left the White House, soon headed back to their wonderful Country, I will be removing the Tariffs and Restrictions on Whiskey having to do with Scotland's ability to work with the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Whiskey and Bourbon, two very important Industries within Scotland and Kentucky,” the businessman wrote.
“People have wanted to do this for a long time, in that there had been great Inter-Country Trade, especially having to do with the Wooden Barrels used.”
He continued: “The King and Queen got me to do something that nobody else was able to do, without hardly even asking! A wonderful Honor to have them both in the U.S.A.”
