Iconic Greggs product is making a triumphant return

Autumn is just around the corner, and Greggs has given us something to look forward to.

The bakery giant is bringing back one of its most beloved Bakes after a seven-year hiatus and fans won’t have long to wait.

The Steak & Stilton Bake will return to Greggs’ menu on 3 September as part of its autumn lineup, serving up diced beef cooked in gravy with blue Stilton and grilled onions, all encased in the chain’s signature pastry.

And that’s not all. Greggs is also launching a host of new seasonal treats, including a Bonfire Toffee Muffin with a melted toffee centre, a Pumpkin Spiced doughnut, a revamped Pumpkin Spiced Latte available iced and with matcha, and a buffalo chicken pizza slice and baguette.

Prices for the new sweet treats start from £1.50. Customers can choose between a Pumpkin Spice Doughnut and a Bonfire Toffee Muffin, both packed with indulgent fillings and finished with tasty toppings.

Fans of the Buffalo Chicken Baguette can also try the flavours in a different format, with the new Buffalo Chicken Pizza Slice. It features the same combination of ingredients served on a focaccia-style base and costs from £2.70.

The return of the Steak & Stilton Bake has already sparked plenty of excitement among Greggs fans, with customers flooding social media to celebrate the news.

One fan wrote: “So excited for the steak and Stilton bake!! But the whole lot is exciting when is this coming?”

Another simply said: “Well I’m so excited for this.”

For some, the comeback is particularly welcome after previous Greggs favourites disappeared from the menu. One customer commented: “Yesss. I’d never forgiven you for getting rid of the steak and cheese roll but I’ve got high hopes for the steak and Stilton pastie.”

And it seems some fans have been waiting years for this moment. “Been saying it for 10 years…. Bring back the steak and stilton!!! We’re back, we’re so back!!!!!!” one person declared.

Others were equally enthusiastic, with comments including “Get in my belly”, “you have outdone yourselves omg” and “this is the best thing that’s happened to me this year.”

Another fan summed up the reaction rather succinctly: “Steak and stilton?! Get in me.”

Over on Reddit, one fan also praised the 'brilliant combo' after hearing about it's return.
